Better dl the stable version. It still the same. The speed is dependent on the seeds and leeches

hey guys, im using BitComet.....how come my port is in Stealth mode even tho the port is already set to open in the router??? Encountered this problem few times already......anyone knows why???? BitComet's problem or wat??

Do you use dialer or a router?

For best results and less hassle, use the WinXP dialer or RASPPPOE.

If you use dialer, the settings are:-

Enable DHT Network: yes
Untick the other 3.
Maximum connection per task: 100
Connection to keep per task: 100
Global Maxmium/Minimum Upload Slots: Auto
Socket Send Buffer Size: Auto.
Socket Start Interval: 100ms
Max half-open TCP Connection: 100. (patch your tcpip.sys file to 200)
Use NAT Traversal via UDP: Auto Detect.

"ok here is exactly why. BitComet reports false data to the tracker and to other peers. it reports that it is sending out way more data to peers than it actually is. so by banning it, and forcing the leechers to use clients that dont cheat, we get a healthier torrent. because (not sure if everyone knows) a healthy torrent works on the rewards system most of the time. meaning its like "ok ill send you a piece of this torrent, then you tell me when you sent it to someone else, and ill send you another." Bitcomet, as soon as it recieves a piece, weither it sends or not, reports back to the client that it recieved it from that it sent it to another peer. by removing the leechy client by nature, the torrent gets healthier, and the people who use real clients, and try to go 1:1 on the torrents get the complete torrent faster. once again if you want to complain to me about the decision to ban bitcomet, email me @ grimlock@kaa.animeconnection.net i would be happy to rant back."

but can anyone teach me how to add command line if i want to set it automaticly shutdown pc when download is finish ....

there's an option in the advance tab menu but i can't configure out what exactly we have to put into the command line there... i already try seachin at u torrent website but i still blur bout it

I don't seem to have problem with speed even though i don't patch the tcpip.sys thingy :/ hmm...max speed always. Or maybe i use private tracker too much hmm.

ur setting might be not a problem, bitcomet and other p2p software depends on seeds and peers... if u have more seeds.. obviously it will run faster..

just reopen the torrent file into the bittorrent client. then, select the new location where you stored the file.

hi guys im using streamyx 1MB and im also using bitcomet. but the maximum i get is just up to 10 or 11kb/s. i heard about ppl gettin up to 50 or even 100. im using a 3com router. is it becoz of my connection or is there anything i should reconfigure. Can anyone help. thanks.

errm i port forwarded my router but im not sure i did it right coz the speed is more or less the same. slow. im using a 3com wireless with a usb adapter. in the "cmd" box, i only have 1 DNS server but the guide in portforward.com shows 2. how am i suppose to know the other? or can i just enter 1 DNS server in TCP/IP properties?

right thats the dns ip that im using now also. and i checked in canyouseeme.org and my port is opened. but something is wrong somewhere coz i get local downloads not the remote downloads.

Previously used Azureus but I found out that sometimes my downloads doesn't run. When I change to Bitcomet and Bitlord, it seems ok. Plus Azureus doesn't provide downloading by episodes on season torrent file. Or do I need to change port for better speed?

About utorrent, is it great? Can it download separately episode by episode on season torrent file? Does it resume to download after restart?

yes, you can select invidual file in the torrent just like bitcomet. and yes again, it support resume after restart.

i've forward the port each time i did not satisfy with the speed but still the result was like error..

bitcomet and bitlord's download seems fine and ok..

If you're sure that you've done port forwarding correctly, have you ensured that uTorrent.exe is in the allowed list in your firewall settings? It might happen that firewall is blocking utorrent from sending/receiving data with the forwarded port.

I feel quite slow when using BC to bt...

1 thing good about BC is that it tend to be more aggresive

The Azureus says DHT firewalled, downloading at 0kbps and uploading at the rate or 10-20 kbps. File stuck at 86%. Anyone knows how to fix this?
