QUOTE(johanhakim @ Jul 12 2006, 07:50 PM) hi guys im using streamyx 1MB and im also using bitcomet. but the maximum i get is just up to 10 or 11kb/s. i heard about ppl gettin up to 50 or even 100. im using a 3com router. is it becoz of my connection or is there anything i should reconfigure. Can anyone help. thanks. Portforward.com - Check out how to do portforwarding herei mean maximum download speed i get is 10 or 11kb/s since you said you're using router, i think you haven't portforward. maybe there's too few seeders? there are many possibilities. |

QUOTE(johanhakim @ Jul 12 2006, 09:39 PM) thnx ill try doing so. anyways im using bitcomet 0.57...is this version too old coz i heard it was stable. Is it recommended that i dl the latest version or some other torrent clients? that version dun have protocol encryption, not sure will affect your speed or not, last time used that to bypass streamyx traffic shaping http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=253074&hl=bypass the latest version of bitcomet have transfer encryption. for me i personally prefer utorrent as it is light weight ( doesn't consume too much memory ) and as long as your settings/port forward/ etc you do it correctly then your speed will hv no problems i suppose. refer to this thread for more guides and helps if you need http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...dpost&p=6927827 This post has been edited by Anderson: Jul 13 2006, 01:44 AM |

QUOTE(johanhakim @ Jul 13 2006, 08:46 AM) errm i port forwarded my router but im not sure i did it right coz the speed is more or less the same. slow. im using a 3com wireless with a usb adapter. in the "cmd" box, i only have 1 DNS server but the guide in portforward.com shows 2. how am i suppose to know the other? or can i just enter 1 DNS server in TCP/IP properties? DNS server should be 202.188.0.133 202.188.1.5 not very sure, confirm from other ppl 1st however, go to http://canyouseeme.org/ to check whether you port forwarded correctly or not. make sure you follow the steps of portforward.com correctly |
