Is uTorrent any better? just reopen the torrent file into the bittorrent client. then, select the new location where you stored the file.Another question. Portforward.com - Check out how to do portforwarding herei mean maximum download speed i get is 10 or 11kb/s since you said you're using router, i think you haven't portforward. maybe there's too few seeders? there are many possibilities. |

Is it recommended that i dl the latest version or some other torrent clients? that version dun have protocol encryption, not sure will affect your speed or not, last time used that to bypass streamyx traffic shaping http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=253074&hl=bypass the latest version of bitcomet have transfer encryption. for me i personally prefer utorrent as it is light weight ( doesn't consume too much memory ) and as long as your settings/port forward/ etc you do it correctly then your speed will hv no problems i suppose. refer to this thread for more guides and helps if you need http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...dpost&p=6927827 This post has been edited by Anderson: Jul 13 2006, 01:44 AM |

DNS server should be 202.188.0.133 202.188.1.5 not very sure, confirm from other ppl 1st however, go to http://canyouseeme.org/ to check whether you port forwarded correctly or not. make sure you follow the steps of portforward.com correctly |

Any suggestion on which bittorent clients is best for use other than Bitcomet and Bitlord? (currently used)
Previously used Azureus but I found out that sometimes my downloads doesn't run. When I change to Bitcomet and Bitlord, it seems ok. Plus Azureus doesn't provide downloading by episodes on season torrent file. Or do I need to change port for better speed? About utorrent, is it great? Can it download separately episode by episode on season torrent file? Does it resume to download after restart? |

QUOTE(johanhakim @ Jul 14 2006, 12:19 AM) right thats the dns ip that im using now also. and i checked in canyouseeme.org and my port is opened. but something is wrong somewhere coz i get local downloads not the remote downloads. from the screen shoot you providedif you have done your port-forward correctly..should be able to get mix result which is remote and local. do you use any firewall beside the windows firewall ? if so...maybe your own firewall is giving this trouble |

Does it resume to download after restart? yes, you can select invidual file in the torrent just like bitcomet. and yes again, it support resume after restart. QUOTE(johanhakim @ Jul 14 2006, 04:11 PM) i turned off my default windows firewall, i have spyware doctor and norton 2006. those count as firewalls too? the picture below is from my router's main page. i have no idea what to do there. maybe norton 2006. some antivirus software come with firewall if im not mistaken. |

ill try disabling the firewalls. sometimes late at night i get dl speed up to 20kb/s( which is still slow) and thats the fastest. if i configured my portforward properly probably i could get higher. i used the windows firewall and added two ports for bitcomet( one TCP and the other UDP) using my bitcomet listen port.(under the exception tab). i still dun get remote downloads.
