Tried the original client when I first started off. It was so slow that I switch to ABC.
ABC was simple and fast. Then came Bitcomet when I notice so many ppl using it. And now utorrent.

Currently using both Bitcomet and uttorrent.

i used the original client for a few days then changed to bitcomet which did a wonderful job until now. using u torrent now.

i dunno what happened to my bitcomet after my mobo came back from RMA.
i did everything that could be done. port forward, diasble upnp mapping, chnaged the port to 100,and enableed the protocol encryption. the speed is still very slow. will the download speed be limited like utorrent if i don't set the upload speed higher? i used to get 50-70 kbs but the new bitcomet is only at 5-10. and utorrent is not doing well enough also. only @ 30-40. btw i'm using the 88 plan

When I was new (read: just get my Streamyx), I did use original client. Then I switch to BitComet and use that for quite some time. Then I have to find another client that allows remote administration, and find Azureus, which I tried to avoid for some time because of bloat, and stays with it since then.

BitComet is, in my opinion, the fastest client around. µtorrent would do well but it was too passive when connecting to peers.

Started with original mainline client, switched to BitTornado, then Azureus, Bitcomet, µtorrent and back to Azureus again. Still using it since it has plugins like Safepeer and haven't had trouble with getting good speeds with it.

Bitcomet seems to be a CPU hog when coupled with an IPfilter file. Although Bitcomet seems to be very aggresive, Azureus seemed to be able to attain better speeds overall on my ADSL2+ connection. biggrin.gif

I have embarass history.

First time using BT Official without doing portforwarding (i didn't know i had to do it tongue.gif), very slow

Second time, using Shadow Experimental, still the same (i tot i could do it without forwarding port but -.-)

The first succesful experience was ABC, then follow by Azureus (which used to be very good), Bitcomet (don't really like it actually) and uTorrent currently

im firstly using bittorrent, but dunno how to use (dat time still dunno how bittorrent functions), then uninstall it.

after dat switch to bitcomet, used for a long time, then due to slow dl issues and heavy rubbish data created by bitcomet, now i switch to utorrent, very satisfy with its performance thumbup.gif

now my computer got two clients: utorrent and bitcomet, but i use utorrent most of the time

Start with Mainline-Zantorrent-XBT-Gtorrent-Rufus-Burst!-ABC-Bitspirit-Bitcomet-Azureus-Utorrent-Bittornado.

Now using Bittornado for private tracker, Azureus & Utorrent for public tracker.

I need uTorrent or Azureus transfer encrpytion to get through my dorm network atm, so choice now is rather limited.
