are you using a router or the ADSL modem itself ?

because the LAN IP itself is showing the IP address provided by tmnet.

better check your setting again.

What brand/model of modem should I use to overcome this problem?
*
From my experience mostly with wired modem/routers, browsing while uTorrent (default settings) is running in the background ...

1) Linksys BEFSW41 (Wifi) - I do sense a bit of hiccup from time to time when browsing.

2) Linksys BEFSX41 (Firewall router) - Very good with no noticeable effect on browsing. I have used this model for a long time. However, when you have 2 PCs running BT clients simultaneously, you'll get fairly severe browsing problems. Works well if only one PC runs BT client.

3) D-Link 504T - Total disaster. Avoid this ADSL modem/router at all cost. Can't browse sh*t and IMs disconnecting. Worst, it died during firmware upgrading too.

4) SMC Barricade 7904BRA (Firewall router) - Currently using with only one PC in my LAN running uTorrent, works flawlessly. I have not tax it yet with 2 PCs running BT client.

I'm interested to know more of P2P friendly modem/routers. Please share your experience.

then the LAN IP is the IP addess

i don't know why it show at LAN IP instead of WAN IP,maybe because you use ADSL modem itself but if you use it with a router,it will show the IP address in the WAN IP and the LAN IP is according to your router address

for some strange case, bitcomet refused to download when installed in this pc, [of coz, with same settings with uTorrent, ie: upload speed, port forwarded]...

but when using uTorrent...no problem /swt ..

anyway...uTorrent is my fav client, followed by Azureus happy.gif

private trackers ...you need to login to their site before you can start downloading [ie: resume download]..

if not, you might get this error : "IP not recognized" or something similar like that... private trackers... gah... someone got demonoid.com account?.. invite me T_T
