QUOTE(Stamp @ May 7 2015, 10:17 AM) Recent topic discussions have departed from the original intent of this forum thread. Please continue with the discussion of the effects of low oil price on the Malaysian economy in RWI. I am getting tired of reading doomsayers' postings in here. We are O&G people; dynamic, optimists, adventurous, innovative and don't-know-what-failure is. Pessismists can continue their unrelated rants in RWI. The internet-debate-want-to-win-at-all-cause wannabes can reside in RWI, there are many of your kind overthere. QUOTE(ZZMsia @ May 7 2015, 12:15 PM) There's one doomsayer in this thread and also the Shell IT thread which has been bashing a lot of forumers. Remember the glass might be half empty for you, it can be half full for the rest. +1 |

QUOTE(kaisk8freak @ May 7 2015, 12:39 PM) Wish to be there also.. But still unsure how it can benefit me personally. Yes I can build some connections, but I think they will see me as representative for my company instead of one person. Make connection first. But I still prefer get connections from people working in middle east. Same post but pay will be 3-5 times more. But with current condition, I doubt for something special. Maybe is a chance for freshmen get jobs. Since kill expensive engineers and get freshmen can reduce the cost. |

Even they don't sell LPG in Malaysia anymore. |

Nak tanya sikit otai2 Cost Control and QS in this thread.
Sapa yang ada handle manpower contract from their own subcon where cut-off date bukan end month calendar date? Example cut-off every 25th calendar month? Macam mana korang itemized each date to cater April'15 billing? Contoh - April billing is 26th March until 25th April. Pening liao GST. |

QUOTE(lun91 @ May 7 2015, 05:40 PM) I think the billing from 26 to end of April can ecclude gst.then billing start from April should charge gst The problem is to itemized the each date. Because my cut-off date is every 25th calendar month. If its every end calendar month e.g 30th or 31st should not be a problem. For my April billing - started from 26th March until 25th April. I don't want just for the sake of GST billing, need to raise a change order to client. The hassle of paperworks and approval |

I don't want just for the sake of GST billing, need to raise a change order to client. The hassle of paperworks and approval In your case, need to create 2 line items (together with tax invoice) a) 26-31 march = tax class. 0% - out of scope b) 1-26 april = 6% or appropriate tax class. For any services done before 1st April, even the billing come afterwards, no subject to GST. i.e. cost plus, etc. If I not mistaken must within 6 months. Except special case like retention, dispute etc. Anyway, I always consult with my finance depatment regarding gst nih, & we also have special team, corporate tax dept who always deal directly with customs. Senang keje aku....haha |

All sifus here, I would like to seek your advise in regards to the career path of these positions as below:
Project Engineer QC/QA Engineer HSE Engineer Which one offers better job prospect. Currently I am working as Project Engineer in oil and gas industry. My manager had given me an opportunity to choose the position as I would like to pursue. If I chosen QC, I would take the courses related to this such as CSWIP. If I chosen HSE, I would take SHO course. I need to make decision by end of this week. Hope all sifus here could share your advise or idea to me. Your advise means a lot to me. Thanks in advance. |
