Shell and Murphy, which one is better for fresh grad to work? In term of starting pay, Murphy offers slightly higher. But I heard Shell increment is very fast.

Budak minyak aku rasa laa better kau stay dulu for a while with MOC. Tunggu dulu 3-4 tahun then kau jump. Kau boleh tanya kawan kau Encik Pisanggoreng for further input. Serious. Kau jangan jump dulu buat masa sekarang. SA-SA topside sekarang kan tengah buat kat BDEWC kau belajar dulu about this project. Inilah pesanan ikhlas saya yang khilaf dan serba kekurangan ini...

there are some stringent pre-requisite requirements for CSWIP.
If i remembered correctly, at least an Engineering degree or subject to approval based on your background qualifications.

hey guys..not sure whether this question been asked here before, but currently im in IT dept in local OnG company...honestly,i kinda bored with what im doing everyday in the office...doing the same IT task everyday...just want to ask either is it possible for me to change the position of where i am now to a position of which i could go to the rig etc, where i can do hands on stuff like supervise/plant inspector so that i can get my hands dirty rather than sit in the office with the qualification of what i have now?(i have a degree in IT)..,but is there any way that i could apply for a position like rig supervisor,or rig inspector etc...how?is it by taking paid courses?if its like that, than can u give the company name that provide the courses..please help me otai2...thanks

Not sure about any other option.. But taking engineering degree part time would just do it.

To secure a job in O&G companies, either chemical or mechanical engineering will do.
But getting degrees are not enough, getting some DOSH certs like steam engineer with experience on operating a boiler will be better.
Sadly, there's no part time for chemical engineering.

Speaking as a person with an engineering degree, I think engineering degrees are cheap and abundant in Malaysia due to over supply. However it is a chance be trained in a high demand career that pays well. So if you are going to invest 4 years plus lots of $$ on that degree do consider the risk and reward.

Yeah, totally agree with you. If I were to ask any stanger on the streets, theres a fair chance to come across another engineering graduate. You still need something more to stand out among the rest.

Hi Mohammad Yakup,

I have an opening for a Contracts Administrator based in our Kuantan office.

I noted that you are currently in Gebeng on the XXXX project.

Would you know of anyone who would be suited for the role that you can recommend me? please let me know.
