Very well said. The problem is most traders (including myself sometimes) treat losses as the end of the world. As a result, revenge trading would kick in and everything will spiral down the drain. Worst thing is you don't even know when you've entered the "revenge trading mode". So I'm learning to treat my losses as a feedback from the market, and I'm also beginning to embrace losses as a path necessary to success. Makes me sleep much better at night, and makes me neutral which really clears up the mind nod.gif

It's hit and run. They grab as much as they can and then disappear. There is nothing to learn in forex that you cannot learn from books.

There is nothing to learn in forex other than the basic analysis. After that it is up to you to figure it out. Very similar to computer programming where they teach you the basics of coding and the rest is up to you. No 2 programmers will write the exact same code. Even something as simple as 'Hello World' print out on screen have programmers doing it differently.

It is all about analysis. It is not accounting where they teach you a set of accounting rules that you have to follow. It is not like medicine where they teach you the human anatomy.

There is no 'graduation' from forex as you will never stop learning. You just need to know enough to consistantly make money.

To me.. forex is like playing black jack or poker. The basis theory is simple. Everyone can learn but it does not make you a good player. Then you learn how to count cards which is the same as learning the indicators and making your own system. Card counting does not guarantee a win but it improves the chances as you increase the possibilities of a win. A good forex system is the same thing. It won't guarantee a win but it helps to improve your chances.

4 year Forex course is like those course offered in University. So far no such course though it will be a super hot selling course...

2-3 days course normally teach us basic to intermediate knowledge with few trading strategies so that we could start trading and earn back the investment.

You are still not getting the point. You are treating Forex like a get rich quick scheme. If you can't put in a few hours a day for a few years to learn, you are not going to succeed. There is no short cut. You have treat this like any other learning program. People don't spend years in universities for nothing.

Go through the babypips School of Pipsology. Nobody should be trading unless they have at least taken the time to go though that. After that just pick a system that is comfortable with your trading style and stick to it. You are not going to learn anything changing system every few months trying to chase the holy grail of trading system.

Then spend years working on it. That is all you have to do.

4 years forex course is just a metaphor.
4 years is just a minimum experience for forex.
4 years is where i understand what is the market, what is swing trading and i still think i can leave my day job.
4 years i'm still losing money but i'm in control of my losses.

4 years is nothing.... wait till you get to the 8th years tongue.gif

P/s: holy grail do exist..... it is your experience.
