QUOTE(Boon3 @ Mar 2 2015, 10:29 AM) QUOTE Looks like TGUAN released an awful quarterly report and its price duly crashed. BTFD As mentioned by Edge on 21st January: QUOTE Insider Asia’s Stock Of The Day: Thong Guan Industries QUOTE The slump in crude oil prices — and therefore lower resin raw material costs — coupled with the weakening ringgit are expected to be a boon for Thong Guan, a major exporter of plastic packaging products....The recent strengthening of the US dollar will translate into higher sales and profit margins for Thong Guan This post has been edited by Le Don: Mar 2 2015, 09:30 PM |

QUOTE(Le Don @ Mar 2 2015, 09:22 PM) If you are in the game long enough, you would know Insider Asia writeups tends to be lacking.... Putting money based on their writeups (or others) is extremely risky..... Same with writeups on AirAsia, no? All say cheap oil will be good.....but incredibly they chose to ignore many important factors. |

Its like borrowing money from you thus its interest and must be paid to you. I dont know why people are selling. I bet Insas boss try to confuse public to con them to sell. I read the announcement and it seem like the RPS can be redeem anytime at RM1 value. So why the need to sell dirt cheap? |

QUOTE(holybo @ Mar 3 2015, 12:44 PM) but... i read about htis If you see the history of Insas-LA (Loan stock), Insas has been paying interest consistently from 2002 until 2007."In general, preferred stock has preference in dividend payments. The preference does not assure the payment of dividends, but the company must pay the stated dividends on preferred stock before paying any dividends on common stock" hence, not a must Lets see the what is the profile of Insas-PA in the prospectus... on the payment. Interest rate : 4% paid every 6 months (5 years) Redeemable at RM 1 by Insas ANYTIME before maturity Cannot convert to Insas Shares Can combine Insas-PA with Insas-Wa in exchange for 1 Insas ordinary share No voting rights On the consistency of dividends. 1. Priority dividend compared to other shareholders 2. In case of insolvency, the RM 1 is in preference to be paid, ordinary shareholders get nothing |

QUOTE(holybo @ Mar 3 2015, 01:04 PM) Remember interest payment = No Tax but no e-dividend also, they send check to your house.. A lot of people dont know this but you can combine 1 LA + 1 WA = 1 new share.. Might have some arbitage oppurtunity here.. |
