Could be, but I doubt it. Sure, there are software that allows further customizations. The keyword here is "further" cuz typically the core fn functions are hard-coded in. Plus I'm yet to find any default system settings that allows turning off the fn key alone.

at least yours one still can be saved... mine one....
the shop told me that they managed to repair my laptop, but after 2 days testing then short circuit again. they replace many parts and retest, still will short circuit. and finally they decided to not repair. said by the shop.

Wow, so your laptop is gone, just like that... sweat.gif.. Good thing I always get extended warranty for electronics. Mine is currently being fixed for a display issue whereby the screen has image burns and also the too warm wrist rest area.

My condolences console.gif .. I would be so sad and pissed off at the same time to lose a 3K+ laptop just like that.. Anyway, I've promised myself, this will be my last Acer laptop. Had an Acer laptop before this and its also currently disabled.. Hard drive issue. So unless they improve build quality significantly, no more.. I'll probably go with Dell or HP next time.

That's the thing about Apple laptops, despite the lackluster performance, they are well built. Wifey's got a Macbook Air that's at least 4 years old and still runs well. With a battery that easily lasts 5 - 6 hours. No Apple laptops or Desktops for me though.. smile.gif

i Just bought a Acer v 17 Nitro

GTX 1060

i play guild wars 2 (it's long time ago game), it's hit me around 40- 60 FPS in Max Setting....

i saw youtube, normally 1060 laptop can hit 100 +FPS

Is that anything wrong with ACER? i not sure what happen but now im very disappointed..

Just bought Nitro 5 at Sen Heng@RM 3299. Not sure whether is a good choice over MSI GV62... btw, can I replace HDD with SSD ? Planning to do a SSD for it.

Hi everyone,
I own a vn7-792g
Some of my keyboard buttons are not working; some fn buttons, num lock, esc, and number 8 of the number pad.
Backlit on all buttons works fine.
Most probably hardware fault as I have clean the dust off the keyboard and still cannot get it to work.
Does any of you know where I can get replacement keyboard with backlit here in Malaysia?
or would it be possible to fit a new non backlit keyboard with the backlit salvaged from the old keyboard?
Thanks in advance
