Old plan is 30Mbps@RM139 which was re-contracted months ago. Applied online immediately when they announced the new 30Mbps &100Mbps & received a call on 2 Sept to confirm the switch of plan. Today morning I called cs for further details and they replied that some dedicated team is dealing with it from today and will switch the plans accordingly within 7 working days after the confirmation.

I received call from Maxis to confirm plan switching on 7th Sept, let's see if my plan will be switched within 7 working days.

Finally my plan has been upgraded today not long ago from 10Mbps @ RM 139/month to 30Mbps @ RM89/month excluding SST.

Here is what is shown in my Maxis broadband account:
Attached Image

Before router and modem power cycle, the speed is tested to be old speed @ 10Mbps:

After power cycled my router and modem, this is the speed test result:

To recap, I got called from Maxis on 4th Sept to confirm plan upgrade and at the same time scheduled router to be replaced on 7th Sept. On 7th Sept, my router go replaced to TP-Link Archer C5v AC1200. On 15 Sept, my plan got successfully upgraded.

Does anyone know how do we access the admin panel for Archer C5v? I'm trying to change the DNS from router, but the user-level panel access won't allow that.

Try:
username: administrator
Password: (your router serial number)

emmm.... it's the same. looking at the router log, show the VOIP registration failed. guess i'll check with maxis cs.

also can u guys 2.4GHz wifi speed test can get 100Mbps?

mine only can get 50Mbps..==
*
C5v specification says that 2.4GHz can up to 300Mbps, so 100Mbps should be achievable.
https://service-provider.tp-link.com/wifi-router/archer-c5v

You may try to use 802.11n on 2.4GHz, and place your laptop or phone near the router.

May i know if you use 30Mbps in TM infra or Maxis infra...
Actually, wanna get Pakej Perpaduan from Unifi...but, lack of no WiFi 6 router & slow 10Mbps upload hold me back...i do watch some YouTube video...some user get capped at 28Mbps... hmm.gif

I see everyone post 30Mbps with free 3 month bill...symmetrical upload speed & new WiFi 6 router might be better than stuck with Aztech router for another 2 year...i know TM got SWU 3.0 offer...but, i think it better to switch bcoz i don't want another round of slow routing to certain game in holiday week...
*
Mine is on TM infra.
You saw my screenshot that says 28Mbps upload, but download is 31Mbps.
I guess it is up to how they allocate upload / download bandwidth.
My case maybe is a 47%/53% allocation, but I don't really mind.

Currently on 30Mbps RM89, if new plan no more 30Mbps, will Maxis change my plan to the new 100Mbps and charge me RM99?

If this is true, then my commitment increased, I am expecting decrease in commitment.

Hmm, although Maxis is having symmetrical speed for 30Mbps, Unifi 100Mbps with 50Mbps upload looks quite tempting if the price is RM89/month.
