Previously using that aminia router

The LAN operates normally, but not the wifi. Regular signal drops. Be it 2.4ghz or 5ghz

Changed to asus rt-ac87u. Solved my problem.

Gonna go get my aftermarket router later. Cannot tahan hahaha

I saw in one of the settings in the router says LAN4 is for IP phone, means can support DECT phone kan? But the DECT uses RJ11, if convert that RJ11 to RJ45 can work or not? hmm.gif

Mine is a TP Link archer c50 (AC1200)

No no NO... The LAN 4 is bridge mode, means u need original voip router, voip router WAN port to Lan 4 port of new router.
*
So original router to LAN4 of the new router, then DECT phone to the RJ11 port on the original router? biggrin.gif

Try restart modem + router?
*
Typical troubleshoot that I will try before lodging reports.

QUOTE(IccyAsd @ Aug 7 2018, 03:01 PM)
Having same issue here from Subang
*
Have you reported?
They insisted I use original router to actually get more help troubleshooting... lol.
Affected websites currently (that I use) are Slack, Reddit, Amazon (ping test differs, only 5ms with no loss, likely due to server locations)

Nevertheless, I changed to original router and issue still persists. I'm in Bukit Jalil btw.

Also, I've now setup my internet equipment as such
TM modem > Maxis router > aftermarket router via LAN as AP

This is also done so that I can use VoIP... but the VoIP also not working albeit set up as above and shared by one of their staffs yesterday.
Something doesn't seem right...

My router changed one two weeks before September 13 until today no one called. Spoke to Gary over the phone he said no request seem to be in place to upgrade to 100Mbps. Lulz maxis. What's the point I filled up the FibreNation form a month ago?

And I'm sure there's a request that Gary couldn't see because 3 weeks ago Maxis fuck up the registration.

I have two lines - one is in Klang and another in KL. the person who called me three weeks ago didn't confirm if I wanted to change for Klang or KL and they proceed to do everything on the Klang address. Stupid doh.gif not even proactive.

Yes, I am surprised that they did not issue you the latest model though, as you can see from this thread, that some subscribers have got that model. If you are considering to upgrade, make sure you get that new router and demand for it, as you need to be on 5GHz AC for max speed. 30Mbps is still okay to be on N, but if you upgrade to 100Mbps, you will def need the new model.

Just call and ask if they can upgrade your router. Try to work something out with them.

WiFi speed got AC no use also if your WAN capability not even gigabit enabled.

Online request upgrade on 20-Sept.
Received call on 29-Sept.
Speed upgraded to 100mbps today. (TM Infra)
Scheduled router upgrade on 22-Oct.
[attachmentid=10046209]
*
Filled up fibernation form early Sept or late August. 13/9 onwards no news on the upgrade
23/9 i called to check, they say no request or anything. CSR helped me to apply separately, he said might as well he request instead of "let's just wait for your request to be processed", that's very proactive. and i'd do that too.
though I remember a week before 13/9 someone came to my OTHER house to change router (some fuckup on Maxis side after I submitted fibernation form)

yesterday checked also I get 100Mbps already.
could've been the day before because I downloaded a game (mobile) on Friday afternoon and it completed damn fast. i thought i was sleepy and my senses were off. lol

Hi guy, did you all know what is the password for pppoe and voip?
*
For PPPoE, if you know what your modem ID is, add 1 behind.
e.g 123456@home.maxis.com.my is ID, password will be 1234561

VoIP i forgot. it's LANDLINENUMBER+abc at the back. or 123. Call 1800824663 and ask.
