anyone received the free fibre upgrade yet?

Taken how long to get upgrade?

not old, Nokia ONU able support 1Gbps, last year subcribe from Unifi to Maxis, technician also change old ONU to current Nokia ONU.

this is my theory, Maxis system somehow detect using non maxis router or under TM infra, they refuse to upgrade , force you to 24 months contract

How good if we were given option to stay on the same speed with cheaper fees..300mbps or 100mbps doesn't make any difference for me.

Do you get 30mbps or below 30mbps on speedtest? I think if you are still paying 89 for 30mbps then not really worth it... Should try to nego for 100mbps.
Definitely the capping is done in OLT and not modem. I started to use Unifi since it is available in my area in 2017, upgrading from Streamyx. Speed test constantly above 100mbps. In 2021 I switch to Digi fibre, the capping is done at 99mbps.
Then recently switch to Maxis fibre, can only get 93-95mbps. When I made the switch to Digi 2 years ago, I was told that in my housing lorong I am the only one using other provider.

Based on my own case, the transfer request is not necessary. As long as your account is no longer in contract, just reach out to Maxis CS, ask them to inform the Retention team to call you, and request a renewal offer.

my current maxis home fibre contract 100 Mbps @ RM 129 just finished.

internet is down currently. damn TM contractor broken the connector at the greenbox after fixing my neighbour's issue. ETA to get this fix is 1 week as per maxis maxpert advise.

currently waiting for Maxis' dongle from maxpert. really sad case being downplayed by TM.

It did not work for me. I requested to change my plan to the RM89 one, they insisted it is only for new customer.

I told them I will switch to Unifi, and they told me to terminate it at the nearest Maxis center. 

Maxis suddenly removed my rebate on the 4th month when I'm supposed to get free 8 months. So, I made a call and they already opened a report for me. Someone from the loyalty team will call me back within 24H.

Not sure how this error can happen. According to the CS, she could see my account has been tagged with free 6+2.

Update for my case, the loyalty team called and acknowledged something wrong with their system. They will investigate who made the changes in the system. As a token of appreciation, they will add in free 6 months or equivalent to 180 days effective today. So I get around free 10 months now. But I still have to pay for the error. Luckily it was offset with my previous months’ SST so I don’t need to pay yet.
