QUOTE(wong_86 @ Nov 24 2023, 09:10 AM) not old, Nokia ONU able support 1Gbps, last year subcribe from Unifi to Maxis, technician also change old ONU to current Nokia ONU. I am using own router and no issue to get speed upgraded. No need change to stock router. probably ONU doesnt support the speedthis is my theory, Maxis system somehow detect using non maxis router or under TM infra, they refuse to upgrade , force you to 24 months contract |

QUOTE(Jack&Guild @ Dec 11 2023, 11:06 AM) understood That is how telco force and tie u for another 24m contract if u choose to remain same speed and lower pricegood that bill amount remain unchanged and contract period not affected. How good if we were given option to stay on the same speed with cheaper fees..300mbps or 100mbps doesn't make any difference for me. |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Dec 19 2023, 09:42 PM) Do you get 30mbps or below 30mbps on speedtest? I think if you are still paying 89 for 30mbps then not really worth it... Should try to nego for 100mbps. Before FSU - my 100mbps on maxis only can have max speed of 90-92mbps. I thought it is bcoz of TM ONU therefore cant reach max 100mbps.Definitely the capping is done in OLT and not modem. I started to use Unifi since it is available in my area in 2017, upgrading from Streamyx. Speed test constantly above 100mbps. In 2021 I switch to Digi fibre, the capping is done at 99mbps. Then recently switch to Maxis fibre, can only get 93-95mbps. When I made the switch to Digi 2 years ago, I was told that in my housing lorong I am the only one using other provider. After FSU now to 300mbps - speed is capped at 280-285mbps. never exceed beyond that. so i can confirm there is capping imposed, not modem issue. I dont play game therefore unifi and maxis is fine for me. Problem with maxis after CGNAT (not sure if it is caused by CGNAT) is slow speed at night when surfing and youtube watching is not smooth. Day time is ok. But i m only at home at night. YoungMan liked this post

Recently service down. Took a week to fix.. Neighbor using unifi 2nd days came and fixed. Given dongle but useless for me. My area 4g line is very bad.
The technical support is really bad. One week no internet and kids are damn boring especially during this school holiday |

QUOTE(gkweng @ Mar 22 2024, 10:42 AM) Based on my own case, the transfer request is not necessary. As long as your account is no longer in contract, just reach out to Maxis CS, ask them to inform the Retention team to call you, and request a renewal offer. i tried this method and didnt work that way last week. CS insisted i have to submit request for termination if no transfer ID then only can file report to retention team. At the end i have to get trasnfer ID from other telcoThis post has been edited by blibala: Mar 22 2024, 10:47 AM |

QUOTE(Created On 21/1/2021 @ Jul 10 2024, 05:43 PM) It did not work for me. I requested to change my plan to the RM89 one, they insisted it is only for new customer. Once agreement or contract signed, have to follow the terms lo..I told them I will switch to Unifi, and they told me to terminate it at the nearest Maxis center. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 26 2024, 12:13 PM) Update for my case, the loyalty team called and acknowledged something wrong with their system. They will investigate who made the changes in the system. As a token of appreciation, they will add in free 6 months or equivalent to 180 days effective today. So I get around free 10 months now. But I still have to pay for the error. Luckily it was offset with my previous months’ SST so I don’t need to pay yet. Youra is whole free package gone or just monthly rebate? |
