Well time to buy and adding some reits stocks, for long term holding
*
Reits like going down lately. Now YTL Reits also seems like dropping soon. Monday if it don't looks good I will sell.
Only will buy back after lowest rate. If I remember I bought at 1.12 last time.

guys, almost half my mreits are in the red. Should i sell or top up?

ALSREIT
AMFIRST
ARREIT
AXREIT
CMMT - this one's taking a beating so bad
HEKTAR
MQREIT

how are office spaces nowadays? is it still oversupplied? Even some retails are not doing well nowadays.
*
Are these REIT going a downtrend? If yes, check if their earning is good or not.

For me I sold all few months back when REIT was abit unstable. Now I don't go for Office Reits. For me lah.

I just going for YTLReits and other shopping Mall Reits (Like PAV and IGB).

Correct me if i bought wrongly guys. Don't flame me.

QUOTE(TSOM @ Jun 2 2018, 05:52 PM)
yes, but in terms of return, do most MReits return 10%+ per year?

want to know if it's a risk worth taking.

what's your MReits return per year in the last 5 year, annualised?
*
Simple say, High risk, high return. Low risk, low return.

You need to balance that. If you talk about return, some high risk stock may get you more than 10% or even 30% gain within a day. But if you lost, it also can goes up to 50% lost.

Fair game.

So I might put some in Amanah and have some also in MReits and other stocks.

do you guys reinvest your dividend into the same REITs??
*
QUOTE(Smurfs @ Jun 11 2018, 10:44 AM)
I think it depends on how much dividend you are getting.

If you are just getting like 100+- , better accumulate more before u reinvesting.

If you are getting 1000+- or 10,000+-, it makes a difference.
*
Yup. Dont forget the min brokerage fee. For Ambank RM8 for RM100 is like 8% gone (exclude stamping and GST...no more GST oledi)

If Rm1000 then it's like 0.8%. Play with the maths.

My thinking is like this, if can, but up to the minimum brokerage fee. Aiya, what does that means and how to explain? mega_shok.gif

Hello! Have a total newbie question, hope, somebody will help. I did some homework but still can’t figure out is it the good time to invest in real estate? Have about $500K in my fund and looking for potentially profitable options for mid-term investment. Want to protect from inflation and buy something real, not risky and legit. Real estate is my choice or no? Thanks.
*
500k in MYR??

Have you settle any of your debts? If No, I prefer if you settle those loan first.

As for REITs, It's better you put some potion to test first as you may not want to lose money from there. Anyway, few REIT nowadays are on the uptrend but IMO, it's too late to buy but you still can buy due to the dividend. Just make sure it's for long term and for the moment if you want to buy, don't buy too much.

My 2cen. Hope some lansi expert dun flame me.

*
You still have to do your homework. Would you just believe me blindly telling you just dump 100k in PAVREIT or MQREIT and you get good return?

7% are possible if you buy at the right time. You need to monitor on it also.

Do some study on REIT and ETF. Don't put all in one basket. Keep some in FD is good also.

IMO.

Mind to share at what price did you enter and sold off, how long did you hold and the dividends you earned when you holding for MQ and YTL?
*
You have to buy it when it's low lah. Have to wait la. And also better to learn how to read their report. I also learning. Maybe have to let those daikor share and teach here.
How long I hold? I know those people who hold it long like for years. But I never reach a year sold oledi.

What online platform do you use to invest in REITs? Can someone recommend a platform for me? Is it maybank or rakuten? I would only use to buy reits and nothing more. The platform should be

1) easy to use and learn
2) min fees

Thank you so much for replying to this
*
Actually all also ok if you use it for REITS as long the fee ngam you. I heard some say Rakuten sometimes server can down. Not sure if they improve oledi or not but price wise is good. No harm for me if use that for REITS.

Im using Ambank. Cheap also.

When they do declare dividend that got DRIP, they will send you the "DRIP" form that inside do state how much you are allocated and the price of DRIP, normally slight discount to prevailing (or precisely average price of last 5/10 days before) market price.

If you want to subscribe then just fill in and send it back (similar to those right issue) or else do nothing and they will assume you do not want the DRIP and all dividend will be in cash.
*
That's interesting. I din know got such thing in REITS. I hope other REIT can have such plan. Or else I have to waste more money from Brokerage.

Another way is to keep it until a good time to buy and that time also include the some capital.

Hey guys,

I have left stock market for 5 years already so I am coming back. With the recent coming of bear market, I might as well put half of my equity in REIT first.

Quite unfortunate that IGBREIT price is already touching RM1.70 per share, previously I bought for RM1.38 per share so quite a pity.

I am currently looking at IGBREIT and SUNREIT, reckon there will be a price correction in January? Would definitely take the opportunity to invest in.
*
I think reit is high now. Why go in? People might hold if they bought earlier. When bear might go down also ler...

Will accumulate later.

Actually, dont worry about the dividend thing. It will drop after dividend.
