thk u for sharing....just meditated on Matthew 7 today, and listened to John Macarthur's audio sermon podcast from gty.org

I find it best to close the window of opportunities for unbelievers to trample on God's Holy scripture. Please pray for me also, so that I may be shared from this judgment from God.

Let us treasure God's Word as sweet honey, He alone is our guide, light up our path, lead us to salvation, and sanctify us all the way until we see Him face to face.

He did. He left out the unbelievers, and changed the preaching to parables. And He explains the parables only to His disciples.

Also, read Matthew 7 on our attitudes toward sacred things.

I do not mean to stop preaching gospel. But there's a need for us to discriminate....without discrimination Matthew 7:6 would be of no effect. Are we claiming to be greater than what it is written?

When the disciples asked Jesus why He preached parables to the crowd, Jesus replied in Matthew 13:11, and judgment followed in v13,....then the meaning of the parable is explained from v18 onward, and the audience this time is only the disciples.

In Acts 18, Paul reacted against the hard-hearted people, and in v6 pronouncing judgment to these people. He no longer preached to the Jews, but to the Gentiles.

Now, to sum up what Jesus said in popularly cited Matt 28:18, yes we are to evangelize to everyone. But if such a person rejects the gospel, and even challenge and blaspheme the word of God, Matthew 7:6 should come into effect. Our response should be that of Matthew 13:13, and Acts 18:6.

Hope it helps. Nevertheless, we will continue to pray that the hearts be soften by the gospel. For the sake of God's Word, we will protect it as how Jesus also restrained heavenly teaching to the crowd.

In approaching such a person, we will be very selective in using God's Word in conversations, lest they find a chance to trample on it. Far be it for us to give them a chance to diminish God's glory, the One who authored the Bible, who alone speak things into existence, who alone has His Word preserved, empowered, and even the heaven and earth shall pass away, His Word will by no means pass away.

There are 39 parables of Jesus. The purpose of parable is already revealed expressly in Matthew 13.

Why do I think that God brought Jesus to the world via a virgin birth?
Not my opinion, but His opinion. It is written very clearly in the Bible that angel Gabriel proclaimed this good news to Mary.

John 3:16 is written as Nicodemus asked Jesus about what it means to be born in spirit. Then Jesus made known to him that the message from heaven, from v16 onwards, proclaiming v17, v18, v19 about judgment to those who do not believe in Him.
