my husky called Nikki,
she's having a minor problem which dont know happens to u all,
my husky feet always bleeding but she wont feel hurt, when it recovered then the next feet bleed.
may i know whats the main reason?does it related due to no nail cutting?
*
Which part of the feet? Paws? Outside or inside? Or at the nails there? You gotta really observe and check it out. I would strongly suggest you to bring your husky to the vet to find out why.

Your husky stay indoor or outdoor?

Probably is because your husky step on something and gets infection, or maybe she loves to play with water and makes the paw always wet and encourage skin diseases. Best is to find out with vet since it occurs frequently.

Just to share with you how the husky looks like in New Zealand. In the picture is my nephew and neighbour's dog. Because of our hot weather here, our Malaysian Husky will never look as fluffy like that.

Yap, in fact most breeds of dogs at cold countries are very well coated, last time my dad imported GSDs, they look so great! But after a while their inner coat drop off, still look nice lah but then the coat not as nice already lor.

I am having problem with my 3 month old husky's appetite now. All of a sudden, he refuse to eat his usual dog biscuits (Eukanuba). I have no problem feeding him and he is very interested each time when i'm about to serve his meal. Frankly speaking, some people fed him with other food (apple, rice..). At first, i thought he might have dental problem since he needs to chew the biscuits. However, he still manage to eat those edible bones. Now, the only way to make him eat his to crush the biscuits and mix with water (or milk). I am not sure where went wrong.

This behavior is worrying me cause it only happened in a space of 1 week.

Can someone tell or help me with this problem?

p/s : You can view my husky (named HESKEY) in my earlier posts. Thanks!

Not to worry...most likely he is having teething problem, 3 months old only, you should soften the biscuit for him if he preferred to eat this way.

hi,

just joined the forum.
usually hang out at the mypethuskyclub where
we share our knowledge and experience about our huskies.

a few points to share..

1. husky's eye color (blue or otherwise) doesn't mean it is more
susceptible to eye problems even though huskies are known to
be prone to this problem. bi-eyed huskies (both eyes have different
colors doesn't mean there is a problem with one of the eye).

2. sometimes as puppies the eye can be blue in color but as the
puppies grow up, the eye color can change. only when the husky
is about 6 months or more, than the color tend to stay that way.

3. huskies and malamute look very much the same at a quick glance
but huskies are much smaller physically and have shorter coat than
malamutes which is longer and more wooly. malamutes should not
have blue eyes which is considered as a defect in the akc standard.

anyway here are my huskies, shina and rei.

muchan86,
thanks.
yup, shina has brown eyes and rei is bi-eyed
(one blue and one brown...when he was a puppy it was blue and green/grey,
then it turned brownish when he was about 6 months).
this husky color coat is known as copper/white...there are black/white,
grey/white, red/white and some other in between colors.. smile.gif

at this age you shud have soften the biscuits for her but anyway i think its pretty normal that she's not eating sometimes, so if you want the cure, try not feeding her for 1 day....then feed her the next day...i was the same as you before

hmm not to say anything but are you sure heskey is a husky? doesn't realy look pure husky to me....normally huskies have very clear markings, as in the fur and the markings are very sharp....even the face is abit different....

my cousin who used to be dog breeder, wat he told me that is local weather is crucial to rear husky, husky can easily fall sick due to hot weather here, could it be one the reason caused ur husky got Hip Dysplasia? hmm.. hopefully ur husky recover as soon as possible and stay healthy always!! post more photo here next timeĀ  rolleyes.gif

ermm my husky never sick b4 also, actualy HD is most of the times because of genetics so its important you dont just get husky from anonymous place....beter get from reputable breeder.... so far my breeder's dog got very good diet and so is mine, so i'm very happy that my husky has never given me any major problems.... ><

and btw i do hope this goes on because i think this is the 5th time i see a husky thread....

hi laliloo,

white siberian huskies do not have markings like the rest and usually
their coat is also not as thick. i would say that gcheelim's heskey looks
like a typical white husky.

ermm but in terms of MKA, is it consider a pure breed husky? u know there's certain standard to each breed, and if pure white husky is somehow different from husky, then could it be that it is in a way cacat?
