Here's my 2+months white male husky name HESKEY tongue.gif

You can see that it has a bi colored eye. One which is blue and the other is brown. I read some articles that this could be due to several reason of which one of it could be eye disorder. I did some checking to test on its functionability. Luckily both are ok.

Sorry for the blurred pics as it was taken via phone camera

gcheelim, wow..this is the 1st time i c white husky ler..so handsome hehe..

Thanks. actually i got this husky from a friend of mine who is a small breeder himself. he has another full white female husky. Both eyes are blue but he's not selling that one. Wanna use it for breeding purpose.

QUOTE(remymj @ May 6 2008, 03:16 PM)
sure u put HESKEY indoor right??
it sleep in air-cond room?
*
because of its age and fear that it might get stolen, yes, i keep my husky indoor. at first i put him in a cage but he grows too fast. Now I have place him in my kitchen area with fence all over the danger spots. there's no air cond but i've installed a ventilating fan to keep the kitchen cool.

frankly speaking, i'm very surprised with the intelligence of huskies. within days after i got him, i taught him to pee and do his biz in the toilet (my kitchen area can access to toilet) and he's a very fast learner. Now, every morning i just need to flush his urine and s**t in the toilet and it saves me a lot of hassle. rclxms.gif

Cheers!

is it Heskey's fur not yet grow all?
coz my neighbour's husky got a long nice coat!

I am not very sure myself as i did not get to see his parents. His sister's coating also almost similar. The fur around his neck is quite thick though.

Cute husky~ How is HESKEY doing at your home?
*
Overall, he's getting smarter day by day (i think all huskies are smart by nature). Of course there are times when he's in the living hall and will just pee on the nearest spot especially when he can no longer 'tahan' biggrin.gif Always get a nice spanking for doing that. tongue.gif Other than this problem, he's progressing quite well. Personally i feel HESKEY is growing fast because i do not lock him up in a cage. If you notice, puppies/dogs like to stretch their legs. By letting them stretch naturally, i believe it will help them grow faster.

Can anyone recommend what shampoo is good to maintain the fur's glossiness?

I'm currently using some Korean brand shampoo. I also feed him with Cod Liver Oil and Some supplements tablets for his joints.

I am having problem with my 3 month old husky's appetite now. All of a sudden, he refuse to eat his usual dog biscuits (Eukanuba). I have no problem feeding him and he is very interested each time when i'm about to serve his meal. Frankly speaking, some people fed him with other food (apple, rice..). At first, i thought he might have dental problem since he needs to chew the biscuits. However, he still manage to eat those edible bones. Now, the only way to make him eat his to crush the biscuits and mix with water (or milk). I am not sure where went wrong.

This behavior is worrying me cause it only happened in a space of 1 week.

Can someone tell or help me with this problem?

p/s : You can view my husky (named HESKEY) in my earlier posts. Thanks!

QUOTE(laliloo @ Jun 10 2008, 05:35 AM)
at this age you shud have soften the biscuits for her but anyway i think its pretty normal that she's not eating sometimes, so if you want the cure, try not feeding her for 1 day....then feed her the next day...i was the same as you before

hmm not to say anything but are you sure heskey is a husky? doesn't realy look pure husky to me....normally huskies have very clear markings, as in the fur and the markings are very sharp....even the face is abit different....
Hi laliloo, thanks for your advice. Yeah, i think it's pretty much of a teething problem for him at the moment. He does eat when the biscuits are softened.

I'm pretty sure heskey is a husky as i've seen his sister too who is a pure white husky. His sister however, has blue eyes unlike mine who is a bi-eyed. Another point is that Heskey howls! laugh.gif

hi laliloo,

white siberian huskies do not have markings like the rest and usually
their coat is also not as thick. i would say that gcheelim's heskey looks
like a typical white husky.

Thanks for the explanation knownuts. I will try to post more pictures of Heskey for sharing.

hi babymiki,

yeah, it's a pure white husky.

so far, Heskey has been quite obedient but i got a bit worry now after reading the recent story on the missing of Sha Sha. normally i will walk Heskey without any leash and he won't go any distance further than 10m from me. maybe i should get one for Heskey soon.

gcheelim,

hesky is really beautiful.. smile.gif

it is always safer to walk him with a leash cos no matter
how obedient huskies can appear to be, when their natural
instinct kicks in, like when they see a cat running, they will
chase after the cat...and you won't have time to react to it.
*
what you've said is very true. sometimes when it sees a cat, it seems like being possessed, ignoring all the calls.

It looks quite similar to a White German Sherpherd dog too.  Cool!  I only like to admire Husky, but don't dare to keep, their fur too thick.  I don't think I have such time to keep this type of dog.
Hi Juztiny,

Yup, it's kinda misleading when you see him at first glance. I just got the certificate 3 weeks ago and it's confirmed that Heskey is a pure Siberian Husky.

Without MKA, the price can be as low as 1K-1.2K but it depends on the age of the husky. Most ppl prefer huskies when they are 2-3 months because they are said to be most receptive at this age. Nevertheless, training a husky can be very challenging and it's not for anyone who is impatient and don't have time for them.
