just called maybank, they said ASM still available right now, so who want to purchase then can go on tomorrow morning to have a try, unluckily i couldn't buy any single cent for ASM, here my story, today i went to my area's maybank at 920am, get shock saw a bunch of peoples waiting out there (around 30~40), b4 buying the ASM i need to cancel my FD and take out the money then only i can buy ASM because my saving account got no money inside, when i want to cancel my FD while im waiting for buying the ASM, the maybank staff told me their system will be going down after couple of minutes and they dont know when it will activate back, plus my number was 20 something, so finally i decided to go back and try next time lol. next time lol. cry.gif

Today almost wanted to give up after the maybank sys crashed at taipan branch. Funny thing is then i go to puchong to get my car fixed and i then headed to Maybank Puchong branch to withdraw money for the bill, only to found out the systems all went back online.

Quickly took the number and i able to top up 10,000 within 10 minutes! thumbup.gif But ended up using credit card for my repair bill sweat.gif

1)cannot.
2)you have to carry RM10k cash then, unless you have an account with Maybank,RHB,or CIMB(correct me if i'm wrong).
3)call ASNB or the associated banks loh.

300 Million Units of ASM Still Available on 2 December 2008

Based on the information from the Perbadanan Nasional Berhad (PNB), there is still 300 million units available for subscribe after today, 1 December 2008 closing. That means you are still able to subscribe the Amanah Saham Malaysia (ASM) tomorrow. Roughly calculation showed that within 9 hours, 700 million units had been subscribed. If based on today subscription rate, the remaining 300 million units should be able to be fully subscribed within 4 hours. However this is just estimation, it still depends on the confidence of the people toward ASM. If you are interested on ASM but you still not have account yet, you can try to open the ASM account tomorrow. Those who intend to top up, you still able to do it tomorrow.

Less than one week, the PNB had accumulated around RM 1.5 billion ringgit with ASW 2020 and ASM funds, RM 490 million and Rm 1 billion respectively. For your information, the recent EPF loan to Value Cap is RM 5 billion.
