Update 1.22.1: Massive Crew Interface Rework

We are continuing our consistent work on improving the crew system in World of Tanks. To make the entire system simpler, clearer, and more user-friendly, we’ve significantly redesigned most of the in-game crew interfaces. When Update 1.22.1 goes live, all operations with crews will require fewer clicks and become more intuitive. We believe these interface and navigation changes will improve your experience, making your interaction with crews more comfortable than ever.

Update 1.22.1: Check Out What’s New!
World of Tanks servers will be down on October 18th from 02:00 to 08:00 UTC+8.

We’ve redesigned most of the in-game crew interfaces to make the entire system more useful, informative, and convenient. We’re also introducing the new Elite Levels feature which will highlight your wealth of battle experience.
And don't forget that Halloween is just around the corner! Your exploration of the abnormal activities in the foreboding town of Mirny-13 is coming to its culmination. The final chapter of the Mirny trilogy features three powerful bosses, new and more dangerous AI enemies, and other changes. And, of course, lots of cool and valuable rewards! Get ready to participate in the battle against evil!

Mirny: Lost Hope—Time to Learn the Truth!

The 2021 event has only 2 modes: Normal and Hard. Hard mode requires good teamwork and is impossible to complete with light tanks and it can be frustrating when you play with random players selecting LTs.


Based on my past experience in 2021; Hard and Nightmare mode are going to be a lot harder to complete near the end with random players when all the experienced players have completed the event.
Planning on getting in early, finish the event and never look back.



Based on these stats, I probably go with the same selection like the last time: Double, Malachite and Legio Ferrata.

310 keys to decrypt all 15 reels with the final 120 keys for Reel #12 to #15 that can be completed by purchasing bundles in the In-Game store or Premium Shop. I bet that it won't be as cheap as the last event. Completed the event last time without purchasing anything.

Mirny-13 is back in World of Tanks for Halloween 2023! Here's now to get a free T8 premium tank and defeat the boss on NIGHTMARE!

Mission completed. Overall, I managed to unlock both Hard and Nightmare on a single attempt. Once accomplished, it was just the matter of collecting Mirium and getting decryption keys for unlocking reels for the missions.
Storyline was good, I missed out on getting the Battle Pass Special Mission bundle with Hope as the commander because I was too late and the offer expired. Those extra 1,000 battle pass points would come in handy.

Sadly, the Obsidian comes with a permanent 3D style which I find annoying but it is a free tank with some effort so I think it is worth getting one.


Bundles for decryption keys in the premium shop are higher compared to 2021 but with more decryption keys with the addition of unlocking the extra 3 tanks.

The trilogy has ended and I don't know whether the Mirny-13 story will continue... Some screenshots from the battle replays...


A Double lagging behind being chased by hedgehogs. At Hard and Nightmare settings it is wise to stick together else an easy picking for the Hunters, Lost and Hedgehogs.


Fortunately, a Legio Ferrata was nearby and managed to shoot the hedgehogs.


The Immortal, Normal difficulty boss. Not as tough as it once was, but even at the easiest difficulty settings team work is needed to defeat it and its army of guards, trappers, alphas and hedgehogs.

Energy Traps, a player has 5 seconds to move away from the destruction zone. New players tend to target fixated at the weakspots of the bosses and unaware of their surroundings and getting damaged by the traps. While it is important to shoot the boss, other enemy tanks and especially hedgehogs needs to be eliminated as well or the team will be overwhelmed by a large number of enemy tanks.


Out of the danger zone, but the Boss increased it's speed trying to ram players that are in the way. Getting into the Boss tank red aura will cause continuous damage while inside the aura zone.


It was a tough battle in Nightmare mode. There were only two survivors, and I barely survived to get a killing shot on the Corrupted TITT Rozanov.
Overall, I liked this Halloween event.

Steel Hunter Evolution: Taking the Next Step
From November 13th at 08:00 through November 20th at 03:00 (UTC+8)

Steel Hunter, the much-loved battle royale mode, continues to grow and develop. Evolution is its latest iteration, which combines the features of both Reborn and Classic. From November 13 through November 20, access the mode via the selector and survive against all odds in eight event vehicles by respawning, using special loot, and giving your vehicle field upgrades. Face 14 other tankers (or nine other two-person Platoons) on a battlefield that is constantly shrinking, and prevail!

Played Steel Hunter mode for the first 2 seasons only, since then I skipped Steel Hunter and concentrate on daily missions and battle pass only.

No best replays this week except for instructions on how to send replays to WG.

Completed all the chapters of Battle Pass Season XII: Mirny-13 before the event ended at 2am today...

While map environment interaction has always been a fundamental aspect of World of Tanks gameplay, the last significant update occurred back in 2018 with the release of Update 1.0. Since then, we’ve explored various options for the future development of World of Tanks battlefields.
Now, the game has entered a new phase of its evolution with the introduction of Random Events. Initially unveiled during Recon Mission 2023, Random Events passed through all stages of development, including prototyping and testing in the Common Test, and will make their debut on the live servers with the release of Update 1.23.
