I think 10mbps of upload is still not too bad, much better than 30mbps download with 5mbps but still will be adequate depending on usage.

Unlikely, especially when you are the only one using the connection as well.

I believe it is normal because YouTube (Google) uses CDN to deliver their contents.

"A content delivery network (CDN) is a system of distributed servers (network) that deliver webpages and other Web content to a user based on the geographic locations of the user, the origin of the webpage and a content delivery server."

So sometimes you might not be connected to a server that is nearest to you and thus the speed will be affected resulting in frequent buffering of the video.

That shouldn't have issue.

Anyway still need depend youtube server too... If heavy load sure it'll slow...

My company using 10mbps line too sometimes watch 1080p youtube smooth and sometimes not.

10M should be more than sufficient to stream HD content (if there is no multiple shared the line),
If cannot stream well in 10M, there may be due to congestion or international routing problem or server location etc, that lead to traffic cannot fully utilise the 10Mb.
So with such bottleneck not at your end, I doubt 30Mb will make much different.

Nope not yet, registered interest yesterday evening. Also with the Raya celebration coming, I think there might some slight delay in contacting those who registered.

oo i actually visited port dickson very recently on my vacation. reminded me of my hometown tawau. very relaxing and quiet.

but honestly beaches weren't that great, too much pollution 

yeah it felt a bit run down in port dickson. so i'm not that shocked there is lack of unifi there.

wah... even seremban also.... did you make a report to tmnut asking when they will offer unifi to your area ? Back when unifi was very new, this was what i did.

All those brochures showing the 30mbps package rm199, once launched dy can get the promotional price @ rm169 if we go to TMpoint or call them? Or they picked some user randomly for this price?

Edit: Currently I'm using 5mbps at 149, they called me few time ask me to upgrade to 10mbps for 169 so I wonder if they picked user themselves or anyone can get the 169 upgrade if call their hotline

Have a question to ask, if I just upgraded to VIP10 from VIP5 only last year and still within contract of VIP10, can I upgrade to the 30Mbps or 50Mbps plan without penalty? Or they will have to have me to terminate my current contract with penalty, then only can apply for the new packages?

Just came back from TMPoint, restarted router and bam upgrade completed to UniFi 30.



First speed test result, download seems good, ignore the upload speed as my router QoS is limiting it.

Quite big difference, so far YouTube buffers really quickly for 1080p and improves download time on torrent by a lot, I think I might need a bigger hard disk now.

The process was fast, I went to TMPoint to submit my request for upgrade, was told it will be done within 24 hours but the moment I came home (10 minutes drive back home) it was already at 30mbps.

No need call lah, tomorrow straight go TM Point and apply. 

Upgrade from 20 to 50 MB at TM point yesterday and this morning Speedtest still show download speed still at 20MB but upload has been cap to 10MB

Called TM CS and he confirm upgrade and tell me  to restart equipment again and test

Test and same result ...getting impatient
