u can't change the price, the best thing u can do to add more value on it but price remain the same.

go kawtim if u can get hypptv package for free.
*
hypptv is useless value. best one if they u get astrux content. then we will see value worth the money there. brows.gif

or they can change it like

standalone 5mbps RM89/with 2 years contract , RM109 no contract
standalone 10mbps RM109/with 2 years contract , RM129 no contract
20mbps RM179 with astrux/with 2 years contract , RM219 no contract
50mbps RM199 with astrux+free call/with 2 years contract , RM249 no contract
100mbps RM239 with astrux+ free call+mobile 4g mifi hotspot[if got 4g market]/tmgo discount/family plan, /with 2 years contract , RM299 no contract

now u see the value? everyone is enjoying the same fair price. no undertable promo, NO OKU,

your current setup side by side is modem <--- LAN cable ---> router, right?

just the LAN cable part, buy two piece of powerline adapter

modem <--- LAN cable ---> powerline adapter 1
router <--- LAN cable ---> powerline adapter 2

the two powerline adapter will talk to each other biggrin.gif

I have this in my own landed house where my modem is upstairs, my router is downstairs using powerline adapter...

so far stable and no issue, refer here for some people discussing powerline https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1773859/all
*
wallplug not good if u have lots of electronics appliances powered on. speed reduced and not really stable. best one is hack wall and pull cable

yes, i think old electric cabling may affect the stability of powerline

but my 13 years old house using fine without problem, the powerline show orange light and stable, already about 1 year using it

if high rise still ok, for landed multi storey, is not easy to hack wall and do all the conceal cable again
*
if u wouldnt mind, then just pull a long cable from the modem to the router. 1 long cable wont look fugly lah, but next time i doubt all house contractor should include lan port in every room ler.
i pull wire because wireless radiation is not good. laugh.gif

Yes that's the one. It's limited to certain areas and even then limited to new accounts or people who've had their Unifi for more than 2 years already.

So far performance for downloads within the regions have been great. 5.5-5.9MB/s which is nice. Torrents are slower, even popular torrents I'm getting around 4.5MB/s only and this is at 5am. No complaints though, that's still 4-5x faster than what I used to get.

I'm hoping that the speed won't go down in July once everyone starts to sign up for this plan...

dear all sifu,
i intend to sign a unifi new package.. if i sign nw with $155 for 5m package.. then once TM launch their 10m for $179 mid of July, does it posible to ask TM to change my plan?
*
If u apply VIP 10 now u pay same, after that the new price will be reflected in ur July bill mean u only pay new rate after July
Please check with their CEO again for accuracy,
Ur area got time? Better Go for time because it is cheaper in term of speed n price.

but i don't know what their monthly bandwidth quota is like or if they have any.
Also they state
sounds a lot like throttling torrent traffic.
and you need to take into account singapore is not like Malaysia. piracy isn't taken too seriously, but in Singapore it is. in that sense their more american/european like when it comes to taking copyright seriously  hmm.gif

these are the most recent cases of singaporeans being sued due to copyright

Agree with you 100mbps for home user is overkill...30mbps should be just fine. Wiating for Unifi to fully launch their 30 and 50mbps than will think to subscribe or not .

100mbps Maxis sadly in only available in Puchong area which has Maxis port...Places with Unifi port are unable to subscribe for Maxis 100mbps..

Good things about Maxis 100MB there is no capping for for peer 2 peer unlike other Maxis package 10,20 and 30mbps which has capping from 8pm -12am everday...

100mbps is norm mad.gif but expensive in mereshia mad.gif

Yeah. An upgrade from VIP10. Funny thing is i upgraded to VIP10 in just 3 months before. They called and asked me if i wanna upgrade to VIP10 for rm169. And last week they called me and offered VIP30. 30mbps is like 3.6MB/s download. Quite tempting.....

just now go to TMpoint Menara TM to upgrade from VIP10 to Unifi50.

They told me no other promotions like special discounts or free voice pack.

So i took Unifi50 + Ruby pack + voice plan = 263 + 21.20 = around RM 284.20.

At first thought of just upgrading to Unifi30, but then... then... "heck, imma getting 5x the speed!!!" and there i was...  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
they told me need around 3 days to activate and told me no need to restart BTU or wifi router, but today i am going to restart BTU and router and check see if the upgrade took place or not...  drool.gif
