I did call TM on the 2nd day. They told me nothing they can do since it is the router and there is no settings to limit this as far as they know and the fact that it is LAN. Asked me to monitor for a week. I can understand if WIFI has issues but for LAN...hmmm..maybe I got a dud router.

I was previously on Maxis...fed up with lag and contract over, hence, went back to Unifi.

anyhow seems it's an issue only affecting you, or your local area.

if you can't access unifi your location *assuming that it worked most recently till now...

then...

1. your pc/router networking has issue ? try diagnose first. turn off modem, router, pc, then reboot after a minute. also check for loose cables. if still no work, try changing cable (ethernet Cat6). or try disable your pc ethernet adapter, then enable again, this resets it and sometimes resolves connectivity issues if it's your pc with an issue.

2. could also potentially be your neighbourhoods internet box got problem. happened to me before, when i reported to tmnut they denied it. only later they admit yes the problem was their end, so they spent time fixing it before i went back online.

dude.... the guy saying this has no credibility.... so i wouldn't put much stock in what they promise or say. this is a trend (though not necessarily unique) to malaysian politicians.

I'll wait for it to happen before i believe it

Any clue that is there any possibility to uncap this?

Hi guys, just wanna ask a stupid question about this unifi thingy.

My old Streamxy was very prone to lighting strikes during thunderstorms and I always had to take out the telephone socket from the modem and also to switch off the modem and sometimes unplug the power socket.

I have lost about 2 modem's to lighting strikes in part years.

Now since unifi is using fibre optics and not the telephones line, must we switch off the unifi mofrm or router during thunderstorms.

Using Streamyx for 2 years then UNIFI for more than 2 years.
Soon, in a month, will move my house, also in Shah Alam.
I can see the green UNIFI box in the back of my new house.

What I should do?
1. Transfer my account to my new house OR
2. terminated and create new account at my new house.
