The e-mail is more like a registration of interest only right, does not take you to any application page.

RM169 is the 30mbps plan but you will be forced to take a HyppTV package for another RM30 making the total price RM199 (excl GST).

If I'm not wrong TM's international peering is better so overall I guess UniFi will still have a bit more edge over TIME.

However if you want Astro as well then TIME will be the obvious choice since you'll save more with the IPTV package.

Yes, it's like tripling your download speed with more HyppTV channels with no extra charges. The catch is the slower upload speed at 5mbps and no more unlimited free calls to other TM numbers.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as your area is within the coverage, and application must be done at TMPoint.

Yes, majority of us should have received it but might be in the spam folder, I found out about it from /k. However this email is just a registration of interest and they will contact back within 3 days.

I think 10mbps of upload is still not too bad, much better than 30mbps download with 5mbps but still will be adequate depending on usage.

I believe it is normal because YouTube (Google) uses CDN to deliver their contents.

"A content delivery network (CDN) is a system of distributed servers (network) that deliver webpages and other Web content to a user based on the geographic locations of the user, the origin of the webpage and a content delivery server."

So sometimes you might not be connected to a server that is nearest to you and thus the speed will be affected resulting in frequent buffering of the video.

30mbps shouldn't be slower than 20mbps unless something is wrong at their router's settings like QoS etc.

As they will still be new in Malaysia, I'd say they would need about 2 years or so to mature, so just nice if UniFi's contract is renewed now.
