with gst, i'll be paying rm199+6%=rm211 for vip10+megapack.

i wud luv to drop the mega/hypp and pay less but they dun allow! mad.gif

and that is the reason i refuse to upgrade to vip20 - will be too expensive.

i expect all prices to go up despite all that "no incr" talk.

start tightening!

vip10... it means 1st month u pay rm149, rm60 free. after that, u pay rm209.

the usual way is:

.. as new user, sign up for 5mbps, rm 149
.. just dun take any hypptv pack, only free basic
.. after 2 yrs contract expires, the agent will call (fear of u going to competition) to upgrade to 10mbps
.. offer can be rm169, 179, 199 (plus hypptv pack(s))
.. straight offer rm169 or 179 10mbps for new users is unheard of... so far. if u get it, pls post for benefit of other new users

but who know how they will behave in 2 yrs time?

for new areas, if developer plan right, there will be no copper. Only fiber.
Typically, TM will tell u to get unifi cum VoIP phone.
Unlikely you can get the old fixd line or streamyx.

Yes, unif down or tnb down, u r cut off.
Just go to some nearby kopitiam with wifi, hope yr new town has some of them!

this is very very good news.

i hope it signifies the beginning of a unifi awakening that some of their early, loyal and good paying customers are getting fed up why they are treated like dirt when new customers get lower prices.

it's time they realize customer loyalty does not equal excess profits.

access to china sites - all was good feb 28-mar 5. the 7 days or so before feb 28, problem.
now, since 6 mar, problem recurred. been 2 days now.
problem seems to be getting more and more frequent, looking like 7 days on, 7 days off!
with vpn, there is no problem at all.
so, i think that notice and similar previous notices are just their standard bs to cover up a specific problem.

unifi does not chop off yr line becos u r late by a few days. more so if first time.

looks like yr modem (btu) kaput, not router. call unifi tech dept to do on line diagnosis. if confirm dead, they will replace foc under life warranty.

u sure they did cut off the line becos of the late payment that's not even due?

u can't exchange the modem like that. the guy need to come, set up and install for you.

50% of the time cannot access.

unif n only unifi. not streamyx, not maxis, not time.

no guarantee... try changing to a new n better router.

and... resetting when very bad is fine but not turning off modem n router when sleeping or not using. best to leave them on 24/7.

my experience, a better router will smooth everything, except the china sites problem which has nothing to do with a router.

rm200-1k, depending on yr needs. i use asus, good.

actually, it like this - "normal" vip10 w/o hypptv is 169 or 179 for many.
those paying 199 is with mega pack.
current 209 is with jumbo pack.
jumbo vs mega, diff is the sportspack. if u like the sports pack (don't assume the astro supersports channels r the same as astro!!), then rm10 or rm20 is worth it.

again, some confusion... the way they advertise and the many variations in price and hypptv packs in the past.
