What would you all deem as a reasonable price for a pre-owned Explorer 14270? 13k expensive boh, assuming condition all good?

if sgd4374 is the final price after discount, and consider gst refund around 5-6%, i think buying in msia is better becoz i was offered around rm10.5k few weeks ago after discount
*
Changi airport duty free already means no GST

May I know where were you offered 10.5k?

mind to share what's the cost for such service? if they open the caseback and found out it's replicate watch, they will reject to service?

I saw this when I was collecting back my watch from service. Mind you, this was end of last year and RSC was still doing verification service... A man walked in and asked for his watch to be verified. The Customer Service lady looked at it and said it was a fake. The man was rather surprised and asked how sure is she? How much for formal verification, with receipt? The CS lady said she can ask the technician to take a look by opening the caseback and checking out the movement. She went in, came back out in about 5 mins and said the technician confirmed it's a fake. The man still insisted on a formal verification, with the charges being about RM200++ (I can't remember the exact figure) and will take 30 mins. This could be RSC's easiest RM200 earned. I don't understand the man's logic to insist on formal verification, when it's already confirmed fake by technician. Anyway, it's his money...

So, in light of current situation where RSC no longer does verification, I guess one can still send in a watch for servicing. What RSC does is charge a fee for basic service, plus any parts requiring change would be additional. If your watch is a fake, they'll reject it straight away. Saves you some money for verification.

Hope this helps.

Take clear pics and post here. Get sifus here to comment

Or, go to a reputable 2nd hand dealer
Tell them u want to sell or trade in the watch. Ask them for a quote. If it's real, they'll make u an offer. If it's fake, they'll tell u as such. If real and you want to keep it, then tell them you'll consider the offer and go off

Hope this helps

Very true.

But to me, unless a great deal comes along (*ahem* 32k Batman *cough*), I am done with collecting.

I have consolidated further and am now left with 6 watches. Hopefully by end of next year, I can get rid of another 1-3 pieces.

To me; a 3 watch collection is brilliant as I have 3 young kids. I don’t need to hold on to too many watches to pass on to my children.

What 3 are you getting rid? Sounds out here first la... Then some of us can plan ahead brows.gif

About Rolex, one needs to ask this question.... You wear for own self song, or for other people song?

Hello all!

Could you give me a few suggestions, around Klang Valley, where I can sell my pre-owned (or how the ladies would eloquently say it; pre-loved) Rolex?

Needlessly to say, the better the price, the better.

Thanks a bunch!
