My advice, don't ever flip a Rolex for a Cartier.

How to ensure pre-owned is real? Fakes nowadays also made from oystersteel, movement also copied until the exact replica. Check out watchfinder's latest video on fake rolexes. Pating 30-50k premium on a steel sports watch feels so cheated/scalped and if fake lagi wanna rage..

I've been in and out ADs in Kl and Pg and still get the same look (of pity) from salesmen whenever I inquire about any of the models that I have put on the list.  I get better treatment, walking into Bentley, RR or Ferrari showrooms than a Rolex AD.

I see it going either two ways - one is that of what is being experienced in the Art world. Out of control prices due to money laundering activities and “investors” seeking a safe haven to retain their wealth. The other is that of a huge market crash and everyone starts to panic sell their stash of watches. If this happens, the speculators and investors will just move on to the next big thing while the grey dealers are left in shambles. It would be very good for collectors but not so good for the manufacturers, authorized dealers and grey market.

The bad thing about Rolexes is that they are too high profile nowadays. Too many influencers flexing Rolexes which makes it the number one target for muggers.
