You browse MWF and saw buttshakers one issit? The difference is you buy these pieces to build up your account with the AD, so profitability is not really a concern. Plus, still made a good profit from it.
The Rolex / Tudor Watches Club V1, Is time to have this now?

QUOTE(pgsiemkia @ Feb 18 2021, 09:57 PM) You are right, doesn’t mean you buy shit rolexes first to be on their list, these AD carry nice pieces from Tudor, Omega, PAM, cartier and you may get a call when that steel sport models come. At this stage I would be buying those brand because I want it rather because it might land me in some arbitrary list. There are much better spend for the 30-35k sub price anyway, a GS for example. |

QUOTE(pgsiemkia @ Feb 19 2021, 12:26 PM) To each his own, I suppose? I feel Longines a bit to unker brand for me no matter how hard they try to portray a youthful image with their pilot and dive range. Longines is darn uncle. Other than their vintage, nothing even comes close to a GS. They are probably just a step or so above those DW shit.GS still has a lot catching up to do in improving their bracelet clasps and steel bracelet quality as they just rummage from the same bin and slapping it on a fine watch case which is handmade. Too cincai like Infinity cars using Nissan Cefiro or Altima switches. Too bad rolex pushed me towards GS with their attitude, while I'm not likely to get from a reseller or a gray marketer to increase my collection, I'm still on the lookout for great bargains at any AD. I'm still happy with what I've purchased so far in less than a year and more to come this year with btc making headway towards USD200k+ by Dec. |

QUOTE(friedricetheman @ Feb 19 2021, 05:35 PM) Grand Seiko is also very uncle looking if you check out their watch designs like the snowflake and four seasons. Nope. Longines uncle is a different level. If dress watch, most people buy the cartier homage pieces or those uninspiring flagships. I think the Master collection is also popular but very forgettable. So, if you find Longines to be uncle looking, chances are that Grand Seiko will be also uncle looking. I once had an acquaintance mistaken my Aqua Terra for a Grand Seiko. The guy was like, “wah. Why are you wearing such an uncle looking Seiko.” I told him that it was an Omega, and he was like oh.. The LLD is superb but they didn't build much upon that after the few colour variation pieces they launched maybe 1-2 years ago. Hydroconquest is probably their best selling piece, its a darn solid diver but those are dime a dozen at that price point. I have not really seen a GS especially with their new dials that don't impress me with the effort that is put in, coupled with the grammar of design it revolves around. Even the oldest GS looks pretty modern by its standards. The only gripe I have is the pricing has begun to move uptrend as they try to further distinguish themselves from the Seiko brand. I am also not a big fan of the LEs that is intended to keep prices up and benefits only a handful of collectors. I am also not a fan of large dress pieces, and the SD are mostly around 40-41 which i feel is a tad too big and too thick to be elegant. |

QUOTE(Chinoz @ Mar 26 2021, 04:02 PM) I sent it in through the AD (Hour Glass), so I'm assuming they'll on forward to RSC? I thought you send to RSC they will do polish and stuff to make sure it looks gooding,?About 2 weeks for quote and 8 weeks turnaround after that, and that's assuming nothing's broken. They said standard service is about 1k aud. Gonna be winter by the time it's done Can dictate what not to fix? |

QUOTE(infiniti123 @ Apr 7 2021, 03:21 PM) i assume you're looking for a 41mm, datejust on jubilee or oyster with a fluted or smooth bezel ? This. colour wise, guess its either a rodhium grey, blue or black dial? unfortunately at this moment of time (2021), stainless steel datejust are unobtainable directly through AD without prior purchase, and its evening more disappointing that putting name interest to the AD does not generate any benefits at all. i would also suggest just go purchase from a reputable grey seller or scout around at a local facebook watch group. or even, explore other brands Don't empower those freaking grey sellers to add on premium. Don't empower those ADs to pull whatever account size requirements. People are so desperate to be insulted and made to be a fool for wanting to spend 30-40k by the brand and sellers? I really don't understand that. |

QUOTE(limchee @ Apr 8 2021, 06:45 PM) Have never bought a luxury watch before. Wondering where can I find lubang or waiting list to get the Tudor Panda? Tudor Panda I doubt got a queue. Just find a couple of dealers around and ask. I can pass u my dealer also to ask. But in general, go ask around the ADs and boutiques, buy from the one you vibe with the most or give you discount. |

Some first hand pics on the Exp1 TT.. Not really doing it at all. I'm convinced at this stage, the people in Rolex must have a bet going on to see how much they can push the "Eww, fugly man... Can I put my name on the list ah?" boundaries. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Doomsday liked this post

QUOTE(kyle46 @ Apr 15 2021, 02:30 AM) Hi all the sifus. Newbie to watches here. Quite intimidating to ask here since from my observation, everyone only talk about the expensive watches and some are very technical.. Just go shop around. BB36 is not exactly the hottest piece around, so got chance. The best AD is one that treats you the nicest, so it tends to be individual salesperson rather than the company because most ADs are same same more or less. But would be great if someone nice can give some info or useful input.. unlike all the sifus here, I'm planning to buy just the entry level Tudor Heritage BB36 cos I really like the watch.. Wondering which AD is recommended to get one? Wattatime vs Cortina vs Hour Glass ? or other AD to recommend? And what would be the common and best % discount usually I can get from any other the AD mentioned? I'm trying to look for the best deal in town but not quite sure since it will be my first lux watch.. Any other info is really appreciated.. Thank you.. Hope to get reply.. I can give you my dealer's contact, but do shop around to the best price /service. Like I said, if someone gives you a 5% discount but talks and treat you like a shit buyer, why bother? Just go to a better salesperson and enjoy the luxury purchase experience. |
