E1 should be easier to get than the Sub. Just ask the boutique and let them know you are willing to pay in full upfront if they can promise you a delivery date.

I used to see brand new E1 in dealer display cases two years ago. Not sure if they are still there now.

But you should seriously consider a Tudor North Flag. It’s also in-house, integrated bracelet, display caseback and a power reserve indicator.
*
Not a fan of those pay upfront thing, didn't do it for the BB58 or the Tudor GMT, not gonna start doing this for a watch.

E1 shouldn't be hard la, probably will get in couple months time. Like I said la, won't die without it so I chill only.

Not a fan of the North Flag unfortunately, I've probably tried almost all the Tudor models around, and I'm not a big fan of most. tongue.gif

Changi Airport Group's chairman so rich also buy counterfeit watches, so buy fake makes sense because who is gonna question a rich person if they are wearing fake piece?

QUOTE
Ms Parti said she had found the watches in Ms Liew's rubbish bin.

They were counterfeit; one, a "Vacheron Constantin", had been bought from a Shanghai street vendor in the 2000s, while the other was a Swatch that Ms Parti said she found in 2012

Boutique? Prepare to spend 500k on dead stocks
*
No la, up north of 200k or so can d on in house brand.

It's still better just go for grey unless you were in the market for the in house brands.

*
1-2mths.. some times longer depending on the waitlist.

QUOTE(selinix @ Sep 15 2020, 01:49 PM)
Try asking for non sport models , pretty sure they will service you like a boss, if ask sports model sure they no mood layan, even stock is there they dont have authority to sell without their manager approval..
*
Generally, all steel models are out of stock, they won't layan you.

If u want, you either buy the lady DJs or some precious metal pieces then can.

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Sep 15 2020, 02:19 PM)
if discount normally they can discount how much? or hot potato model no discount lol..
*
The fella below you in wait list won't ask for a discount, so you think they will give you one?

I was seriously contemplating on the VC 4500v blue.. it's really gorgeous in the flesh. Only nagging bit for me was the rather pronounced date window.. like, literally a framed window. Didn't really buy into the supposedly maltese cross patterned/inspired bracelet either although admittedly it's really well built and finished, and very comfy on the wrist. But the quick change system and rubber & leather straps thrown in was a major draw for me. I totally agree it's definitely worth considering instead of succumbing to the current Rollie insanity.

Having said that, I dropped by one of the local Rolex boutiques a few days ago just for a laugh, of course the displays are barren as the desert I live in but the SA told me, with a straight face, that they're expecting their new stock in a couple of weeks and get this.. he says they don't do wait lists. Like... what? yeah right. That really made me laugh but he kept on insisting, first come first serve.  laugh.gif

i'm partial to the 2300v actually.

They are not dummies.

How much you want to bet?

See the time lapse from the previous photo..

Rolex dummies are not fake models, they are simply non-serial models and marked so it can't be sold at all. They have been doing this because ADs were all pissed that potential customers can't view any watches, and empty displays looks really bad.

Go in ask to buy it, see what they say.

I didn’t know that they supplied these review models to Rolex ADs now. I thought these were only supplied to reviewers like Hodinkee. Rolex ADs usually carry dummy sets with no movements inside and the time is set to 10:10.
*
Last time no need, because they have actual models that they can bring out to show.

But recently, even actual models ran out, so they started to give these working 'fake' models to satiate the customer and potential customer base.

So even now, there's rarely any steel piece sitting in a safe behind the shop, its more if you want, you pay you will get it by end of week / month, provided your history with the AD is good.

So if you enjoy being treated like a peasant for wanting to spend 30k, just go to a Rolex AD.

Just got a brand new Tudor BB 58 from AD. So I tried to "charge" up the lume with a led flash light for about 1 min but noticed that it fades rather fast and the lume dies in like less than hour...is this normal? Appreciate if you could share your experience.

I thought these were discontinued back in 2017. Even when I was filling up the forms in AP house recently, they gave me a normal plastic ballpen.

I didn’t know they still have these lying around...

I heard otherwise. AP doesn’t talk about accounts. It’s the manufacturer themselves and not some AD. My experience with AP is that they do not mention anything about account spending or you need to buy this to get that. They will just mention that if you want model 15XXX, you need to wait X months/weeks.

Friedrice has a point. The AP pens have been discontinued for awhile now.

Some of the more recent For sale listings online for this pen also state that it’s a discontinued item.
*
Nope. Account spending still applies. The difference is they don't really purposely hide a piece, because the production of AP is way more limited than Rolex.

haha! its a very long story but it goes as i was obviously asking for a black/grey dial SS RO but to no avail for more than 1 year.
they kept offering offshore but honestly not my cup of tea. so AP house in the end gave me 2 options to start my "portfolio" with them.
Black dial SS RO chrono, or Panda SS RO chrono. Went with the panda and obviously it cost a lot hence i do not have any plans to purchase with them again for maybe 1year later.
im not a VIP or anything hence i was "offered" the chance to purchase a 37mm blue dial.

is the blue dial 37mm SS RO widely available in stores?

I think tudor / rolex has no boutique , they are all ADs, the tudor in mid valley is by hour glass and the one in pavillion is swiss watch
*
They are owned by ADs, but a Rolex boutique do not play the same game as a AD.

Same goes to Omega. It's owned by AD, the discount they give is different from the parent AD.
