Try asking for non sport models , pretty sure they will service you like a boss, if ask sports model sure they no mood layan, even stock is there they dont have authority to sell without their manager approval..

I was seriously contemplating on the VC 4500v blue.. it's really gorgeous in the flesh. Only nagging bit for me was the rather pronounced date window.. like, literally a framed window. Didn't really buy into the supposedly maltese cross patterned/inspired bracelet either although admittedly it's really well built and finished, and very comfy on the wrist. But the quick change system and rubber & leather straps thrown in was a major draw for me. I totally agree it's definitely worth considering instead of succumbing to the current Rollie insanity.

Having said that, I dropped by one of the local Rolex boutiques a few days ago just for a laugh, of course the displays are barren as the desert I live in but the SA told me, with a straight face, that they're expecting their new stock in a couple of weeks and get this.. he says they don't do wait lists. I didn’t know that they supplied these review models to Rolex ADs now. I thought these were only supplied to reviewers like Hodinkee. Rolex ADs usually carry dummy sets with no movements inside and the time is set to 10:10.

Just got a brand new Tudor BB 58 from AD. So I tried to "charge" up the lume with a led flash light for about 1 min but noticed that it fades rather fast and the lume dies in like less than hour...is this normal? Appreciate if you could share your experience.

I thought these were discontinued back in 2017. Even when I was filling up the forms in AP house recently, they gave me a normal plastic ballpen.

I heard otherwise. AP doesn’t talk about accounts. It’s the manufacturer themselves and not some AD. My experience with AP is that they do not mention anything about account spending or you need to buy this to get that. They will just mention that if you want model 15XXX, you need to wait X months/weeks.

Friedrice has a point. The AP pens have been discontinued for awhile now.

Some of the more recent For sale listings online for this pen also state that it’s a discontinued item.

haha! its a very long story but it goes as i was obviously asking for a black/grey dial SS RO but to no avail for more than 1 year. 
they kept offering offshore but honestly not my cup of tea. so AP house in the end gave me 2 options to start my "portfolio" with them.
Black dial SS RO chrono, or Panda SS RO chrono. Went with the panda and obviously it cost a lot hence i do not have any plans to purchase with them again for maybe 1year later.
im not a VIP or anything hence i was "offered" the chance to purchase a 37mm blue dial.

I think tudor / rolex has no boutique , they are all ADs, the tudor in mid valley is by hour glass and the one in pavillion is swiss watch
