Almost extra 10k from retail ni  biggrin.gif

If MYR 35k for no date maybe can makan la. Coz can resell around 1~2k higher if lucky.

MYR 39k very hard to untung unless Rolex price up 20%  tongue.gif

As for the Tudor, now no discount so most selling at RRP. The metal bracelet should be better IMO.
*
Even that leather bracelet already jacked up price.

Not worth it.

Last night's preview of some of the 2019 Baselworld pieces. Was surprised to find that Oysterflex is surprisingly comfortable. And the modern sports jubilee bracelet is nice too; it doesn't look so good in pics, but in the metal, I will admit it is quite nice.

actually i dont mind 34mm or 39mm, both also nice.

kindly advise good to buy or not?

or ya, the sales told me this will become vintage soon, will this make the price appreciate or depreciate?
*
I can intro you to my dealer and you can see if you can get better deal.

The usual discount ranges from 6-8%, for model like the subs or explorers you won't get any afaik.

Don't buy it if you are concerned about value retention. I doubt Airking will be a classic, unless some big influencer decide to hype it up.

Your SA is talking cock if he's trying to say this will become an instant collectable classic.

The subs and yacht-master earlier display only?
*
One of the new tactics by Rolex is to provide sports model to AD's / Boutiques but for display only, cannot be sold.

Not sure if thats the case here.

Yeah I visited SWG in KLIA2 last week. They have (had?) A sea Dweller 116600 and a sub in their display but with not for sale signs. They sales person said customer already paid for it and haven't collect yet. Nit sure how true that is.
*
Likely is lies. If already paid they would remove it and keep in safe, because if you have spunk good money on a SD and you will be picking it up later, you want other people go molest it?

But who knows. The 'for display only' is a real tactic, partly because a lot of new watch folks have heard about the 'magic' of a Rolex, but go in just to be told no stock can kill off a new fan.

No wonder la the one at Gurney Plaza (operated by Cortina) got them on display with "NOT FOR SALE" tags all over them

I don't even know what they trying to prove
*
Just to show you it's not they meet consumer demand, it's that they couldn't care less about consumers.

All waiting list la. There was a couple that came in that day and offered to me, but it was not the bracelet so I passed on it.

You might be able to find the NATO or leather ones.

The watches you see in ADs are literally for display purposes. They are from Rolex, but were shipped to dealers without box and papers. In other words, they cannot be sold. These are actual watch with actual movements, and really just for display only.
*
I think saying that outright is better than the cock and bull about already sold to another customer story.... but that's just me I guess..

Well, what can I say... I really don't know why they won't just go ahead and say it. And I can't speak on their behalf. Anyway, prices have gone mad for most models, but these are still reasonable...

Super Luminova glows arguably nicer than Chromalight, imo.

Man, I still kick myself sometimes for not taking it up when it was offered to me couple years back.

What's the usual discount you managed to get for non hot selling Tudor model? Was offered only 10%
*
It depends on which model. Hot these days doesn't mean those you don't see in display, it means those you have to put on waiting list.

The BB's or Pelagos are still hot models, even if you can find them in some ADs.

The newer models also less.

I think maybe the older models can get more.

Thats before Tudor became hot.

Plus, Malaysia's one of the cheapest place you can get Tudors, so even if some places give higher %, net net also still more expensive than here.
