Just realised i have this clam like thing in my tank. I've killed about 3 of em just now. Anyone know what is it?

I usually just squeeze them dead with my tweezers and my shrimps are very happy to feast on them. Haha
It's not snail larvaes. It's like a clam but it only has 1 side of a shell.

I have a few nerite snails. They're quite big in size though, would they attack them?

I found this snail in another small aquarium , not sure what type of this snail, can this be algae eater. Hehehe
Today just bought few small algae eater, not sure is it SAE (Siamese Algae Eater), there written flying fox. Can anyone confirm based on attached photo.

Yeah, hahah.. they really do.
I bought 5. After few weeks time, so many small snails popped out.
Had to clean my tank to get rid of them.

Need some advice here.
I have a narrow wall mounted tank with ADA substrate set up for 4 weeks now with some christmas moss tied to a driftwood inside. Issue is a large  amount of the moss is browning. Moss was added after 2 water changes. Lighting is furnished by a T5 28W FL tube kept on for 10 hours a day which I think is adequate because I notice algae growing on my glass.  I admit I did not test the water parameters prior to adding the moss but not all is browning. Filtration by a canister filter with all those necessary bio stuff.
I have added 2 guppies and they are quite happy inside without signs of illness.

hi guys. need some advises and tips. i got 1 4ft tank. i planned to do low tech with easy maintenance planted tank.
roughly my plan is to use gravel instead of soil, some driftwoods and large rocks with plants inside.
the questions are:
1/ can i just use gravel as substrate or still need soil? if purely soil, should require more maintenance right?
2/ what kind of plants suitable for this setup?

Hi bros, when you guys bought a piece of wood from outside, is it necessary to soak and boil it? After I soaked and boiled it , it's still causing water abit tanning. How to reduce the tanning issue? Will this tanning problem cause problem to fish or plant?

I'm trying black-out method for my tank. My hairgrass and flame moss is plagued with BBA.

Yesterday night was day 3, i opened up and shone some light into the tank and it seems like the BBA is still there, no color change on the BBA and the BBAs doesn't seem weakened.

I'm trying for a few more days. Ideas or tips anyone?

I can't isolate now. I have baby shrimps in my tank. Sayang la if they die. 
I'm not sure. But so far my co2 indicator is lime green all the time.

hi guys i just received an aquarium Boyu TL-550 from someone, planning to start a new planted tank

but it came without the pump and the light tube






any ideas what pump should i get and where to get the replacement for the light tube. also how should i arrange the filter media

the fish shop u mention is it fish depot?

I dont have fav shop. I always go to shops near to me, and to those far shops once in awhile.

Some shops got good plants, some shops got rare fish, some shop got specific equipment/ other material for my aqua.
