Any advice if we should turn off our CO2 when the lights are off?

There are theories out there that we shouldn't turn it off to avoid fluctuation of CO2 everyday.
*
In natural, everyday got night and day, so at night, plant will rest. So the light timing shall consistent on-off
We need Co2 injection coz the Aquarium water unable disolve air Co2 to water fast enough, and plant need Co2 to grow.
Thereby Co2 shall be turn on 1-2hr before light and turn off 1hr before light off.

1. "ADA Power Sand contains both slow-release organic nutrients which are decomposed by bacteria into a form absorbable by aquatic plants and fast-release inorganic nutrients that are directly absorbed by aquatic plants to provide nutrients to aquatic plants effectively."

It is unnecessary because with soil alone can provide necessary nutrients that your plants need. You can go with cheaper alternatives like root tabs or osmocote.
*
Mind to provide any proven root tabs or osmocote link? Prefer from Shopee

Using Aheim classis 250 + Qanvee inline diffuser for my 10g tank...

Anyone been try putting inline diffuser on inlet instead of outlet?
What is the worst damage it could be?
Dont like the small mist putting on outlet now.

I have read some people put inline diffuser on inlet pipe without any problem. I don't know if there is any negative effect especially on the beneficial bacteria in the filter. Well, beneficial bacteria in the soil should able to handle your tank if anything happen.
*
Testing change to inline now...
Water look clearer cool2.gif

What's the market price of Eheim 250 now? Do you think it is good?
*
I bought from Taobao cost around CNY 350+
Much cheaper than shopee

Eheim classis series is proven reliable yet cost effective.
Bought 2 set, another set now parking waiting for new tank setup...

Its always suggest need 4x-10x flow rate.. my tank only 10g(38liter) but this eheim is about 400+ L/hr

Dont you feel it is slightly troublesome to wash the filter since the hose is like tangling?
*
Always use those quick release, on weekly cleaning, normally only clean the inlet and outlet.
Maybe 6month or more only clean tank.
https://eheim.com/en_GB/aquatics/accessorie...ung-d.-12/16-mm

I feel its more easier than HOB that i need to clean the sponge.

But most important is tank look very neat, you dont see other equip tangling around, only Inlet+Outlet.
(Co2 injection via Inline type)

Efficiency increase a lot, and no more bubber flying around...

Also anyone know how to cycle i watched some videos but the products they use are expensive here sad.gif

Planning to make a 2ft tank with shrimps and small fish smile.gif

Any comments or advise is appreciated

You really going to Aquascape with plant or just purely shrimp+small fish.

If just shrimp + small fish, quite a lot of choice. Setup can be really simple like Larve Rock + Sponge Filter System

If Aquascape, consider Chihiros series(bought direct from T.bao cheaper). Not forget Co2 setup, Timer, Filtering System, soil, mineral, fertilizer etc...
Think twice, coz its not like setup and go, you plant will grow as well as Algea devil.gif so you need to really had patient to maintain it. smile.gif

**I got a 35CM cube tank (New) to let go, PM if you live nearby Pg ** biggrin.gif

Anybody know why my surface skimmer can't really suck the oil from the surface? I did clean the sponge inside, can see the water is flowing inside but the surface oil just not moving.
