Anybody seen this Chilli Rasboras for sale? I'm looking to pick up a dozen.

i hope you do get them. they are sooo nice.
my brood of 20s, almost a year old after i bought from uncle arrow.
just make sure when u buy at lfs, the b.briggatae is the real deal. they sometimes get confused with either b.urophthalmoides or b.merah.

what shrimp is this? I think it came with the Riccia i found in a small stream. It was smaller than the Cherry when I first saw it in my tank 3 months ago. Now it is about 2-3 inches.

Worst thing is my moss getting lesser and lesser. Shall I throw it away?

looks like cherax, not planted tank and community tank friendly.
if it cherax/common yabby, i recommend you to dump it to another tank,
give it away to other fish hobbyist or lfs or feed it to your other fishes.
Just dont release it back to our river. They are invasive species.

No reason why it won't hatch, but it will be a few weeks before you see the first fry. They are cute as anything when you first see them. smile.gif

I have Eleocharis sp mini, rotala red vietnam, christmas moss, monte carlo, 2 types of buce, mini fissidens and one more plant I don't what it is.

This grew by itself when it hitched a ride with my monte. I quite liked it, so I let it grow. Any idea what plant is it?
hurm, probably one of these 2 plants. need clearer pictures to confirm.

Hello there~! Just stumbled upon this thread and wanted to say Hi~! I had a planted tank 4 and a half years ago. Here it is~

Tore it down 3 and a half years ago because the lack of an Aquarium Chiller  cry.gif, didn't have the money to get one. The ambient temperature made the temperature of the water 32°C at times, the plants just couldn't survive in that temperature. I could only enjoy it for 1 year. Hoping to get back into the hobby in the near future after saving up a bit.

your tank looked familiar. are you the guy who ppl called your drift wood look like golf club in MAC forums? brows.gif

If not mistaken Xian Long Aquatic Shah Alam got stock, but i only went there last month. Dunno out of stock or not already.
Alternatives, probably Aquatics International nearby Subang Airport since they usually have them in stock, but i havent been there in ages, so i cant be certain.

from what I saw, the leaf is quite soft and it spread with somewhat like runner to reproduce..just like Vallisneria..
i would like to sell it but better for me to know what im selling first..haha..
EDIT: the leaves averagely only that long just like the pic i provide.
could be Microsorum pteropus "Taiwan Narrow" or Microsorum pteropus Trident or just plain Microsorum pteropus v. 'narrow leaf' that just recently cut from the main rhizoms. hmm.gif

bump incase someone missed it..haha..
we did have someone who did with garden soil last time (but you need to search the history archives Planted Aquarium V** notworthy.gif ),
but it was messy project,
also some garden soil/potting soil are not identical, and some are harmful to faunas due to traces of insecticide and herbicide exist in them.

if you want to use different brand of aquasoil, theres still other brands such as BorneoWild, H.E.L.P Advance Soil, Fluorite Seachem, Fluval Shrimp Thingy..& EcoSoil thing, Eco Complete maybe? Cant remember the name.

yep..tanah as in nursery bought type..
really?.i need to search again..didn't stumble on it last time i search..might be wrong keyword or something..

actually planning on doing 3ft or 4ft project..but i cannot afford those pricey soil to fill enough of the tank..might need to do some slope or more rocks or wood or something else..so i need to channel the fund accordingly and as cheap as possible..right now still in budget planning stage so cost is my concern..

thx for the info though.. thumbup.gif

for 3ft ++, u wont need to use those powder size type on top, so normal regular size will suffice, unless ure planting HC and those small carpet foreground.
yeah, to reduce soil usage, slope with rock is a must sweat.gif
but what i learnt from MAC, got a few members too dabble in the art of dirt soil in the past, and most of them concluded this:
Huge price difference rclxm9.gif
although the downside is theyre messy, unknown of free from pesticide/herbicide,
and u need gravels to supress those soil from floating and become mush due to water current and fishes/shrimps doh.gif
however, if you are not ready for those tiring problems, just get those proper recommended aqua soil for ease of scaping. it might take a while to prepare especially for the budget, but at least when the project has started, at least it wont be problematic as those experimental setups console.gif
