132 Dusk Balls, 5 Fast Balls, 10 Ultra Balls.

Thats how many balls needed to catch Uxie when I tried catching it.

Serebii.net forum ones are usually legit since they do impose rules banning hacks from being traded...

He just said "play" on Jan 12...

Gonna check it out once the clock strikes 12am biggrin.gif

(I'm surprised nobody found this event at all within the game for so long, unless it was well hidden, or its an online event)

I don't think timezone matters unless it's an online event tongue.gif In which case it would probably follow Japan (GMT +9 - we are one hour behind)

sleep.gif Good question. Mystery Gift turned up nothing, and there's nothing in game that I noticed has changed. Maybe later sad.gif

From memory, it will delete the top most skill since all the new ones fill the bottom tongue.gif

While in day care there's no way to control what skill to keep or delete....so I don't suggest keeping it in daycare for extended periods.

Alternatively, unless it's an egg move / move that can only be gotten in the previous evolution you could just go to the move relearner and get it back.

Old legendaries with new forms would be more correct...since Giratina and Shaymin both exist in D/P (although you can't really get Shaymin without glitching in the JP ver/AR-ing)

QUOTE(sanesaint @ Aug 12 2008, 02:02 PM)
hey people, apart from cranidos, what other pokemon can i get from fossils from the underground in pokemon diamond?
*
The following:
Anorith > Armaldo (Claw Fossil)
Lileep > Cradily (Root Fossil)
Kabuto > Kabutops (Dome Fossil)
Omanyte > Omastar (Helix Fossil)
Aerodactyl (Old Amber)

All of the above are only available once you get the National Dex..and even then they are all rare items so good luck digging smile.gif

The only fossil you can't get in Diamond is the Armor Fossil (Shieldon > Bastiodon)...you need Pearl for that.

but there is a limit of using rare candy. after a number of rare candies, it cant be used on a pokemon anymore.
*
You're thinking of HP Up, Calcium, Carbos, Iron etc.....

Rare Candies can be used as much as you like on a single Pokemon.

Of course...in every game you don't get a lot of them :/ so you can't really use Rare Candies a lot anyway...

i cant catch uxie... T.T
I've used lots of great balls, dusk balls, timer balls and all of my 10 ultra balls... n i still cant catch it!!! *roar*
for those who caught it.. care to share which type of pokeball is best to use to catch it???
*
Quick Balls (but you only got a few turns to use it before it loses its effectiveness.....)

Dusk Balls (4x catch rate at night and caves..and since your battle takes place inside a cave....typically this is the best ball for catching legendaries since most of the legendary battles save for Cresselia take place in caves, so stock up a lot of it)

Ultra Balls (not as effective as Dusk Balls....but useful nonetheless if you do run out of Dusk Balls.)

And of course lots of patience. biggrin.gif Status effects such as Sleep help increase the catch rate. Of course, save before the battle. :/

If you're really unlucky with your catching attempts, your battle can eventually go all the way to the point that the legendary Struggles itself to death, but that rarely happens la....

how to transfer manaphy from pokemon ranger to pokemon pearl eh?
*
I assume you already have the egg...so you need two DSes. One with Ranger, and one with Pearl. Fire up both games, Ranger first. Then after selecting to send the egg in Ranger..while on the DS with Pokemon Pearl, head to the New Game/Load screen...the game will detect Ranger's wireless signal (notice whenever you are at the New Game/Load screen, the DS wireless mode is on?) and then transfer will begin.

Thats what I remember at least..been a year since I transferred mine :/

any idea if we can import our pokemon from  pearl to platinum?
*
Yes, you can. Works like a normal trade. There are limitations that apply on the Platinum side though.

- the Platinum Orb won't transfer (if attached to any of the Pokemon - it will be removed and placed in the bag, as the item doesn't exist in D/P)
- Giratina Origin form, Sky Shaymin form and all the Rotom forms will all revert to their normal forms. (data doesn't exist for them in D/P)

Yup.

Although the whole "won't listen to you" part would be very annoying so just train up some Pokemon in the Lv50s now, then after you beat the 6th gym (traded Pokemon up to Lv70 will obey), just send them over. For the most part you can sweep half till 3/4 of the storyline with just one Pokemon (I did, with the fire monkey XD)
