So in short, you would take Zotac over ASUS for 980Ti?
*
ya cos the price gap too huge. zotac amp more than enough. asus always over-priced.

GTX980Ti ref cards really have bad asic quality score, me & my friends 3 of us getting MSI ref cards with 66.3, 66.6 & 66.9% respectively.
*
The ASIC quality really doesn't mean anything much smile.gif I know it's always been a debate and I've came across cards with higher ASIC that overclocks poorer than a lower ASIC. I couldn't be bothered as long as I get a good overclock.
I have the same MSI reference 980 Ti and it does +290 Core, +460 Memory easily.

Initially I was thinking just to get cheapest reference card, then upgrade the cooler to Corsair N980 (http://www.corsair.com/en/hydro-series-hg1...cooling-bracket). But then I thought it way void the warranty...

Why don't you get a proper water block, a decent pump and a little reservoir instead?

Sure it's going to be a little more hassle than installing the N980, but that H100i pump it is using is notorious for failing and sounding like a turd after a few months of usage.

LOL , thanks brah for giving me an idea for my next project . I think instead of going for another 980ti I just suck it up and get this aio watercooling instead . Save the money for xb270hu that's going to cost a bomb if get from amazon T_T RM 3625.82 (5-10 days shipping) not include gst and import tax die lol

My h100i doing great so far been using about a year . Idle at 34c and full load around 60c

Although i'm running full watercooling setup for my rig (look at my signature) but i might not going to slap a waterblock on it, compared with AMD R9 290 blower type fan which i used it before, Nvidia stock blower type cooler is much more quiet.

That one is for 980, since 980TI is more TITAN than a 980, you probably need to wait for them to launch a new one?

My bad, they said it is TitanX compatible.

Reference cards are all the same underneath, you are buying for the brand and 3 years warranty.

Still consider "OK" for me as you said, other cheaper brands also 2.8k, and asus's ref at 3.2k...

p/s: You said non-ref? 2.9k? What's the exact model name? AFAIK, giga only have 2 980ti at the moment, one is ref, another is g1, which retails at 3.4k (someone above got one at 3.1k, and that is his discount price for getting bundle already). 2.9k seems too fishy to me.

....

You could had state earlier it's not at local...

Some cards are cheaper at Taiwan.

If so, that would means it's the Giga G1. For sub RM3k, that is definitely a nice pricing, but you gave up on local warranty in exchange, so that's up to yourself whether it is worth.

Yeah but I saw review that reference cooler usually maxed at 80 to 90 Celsius.. I am running single card anyway.

I don't really know how to do custom water cooling. For that N980, it is not limited just for H100i, other Corsair AIO should fit as well.
