Bro thats msi ref malaysian stock. Cannot be said as all.
Hmm thats not bad 66-70 abt same. 60 n below is bad.
Ure still 1450 so still ok.

But looking at ocn a lot cannot hit 1400 n above.
While tx only one dude. Rest all above 1400.

So guess that confirms that initial 980ti is the rejected gpus that couldnt pass tx validation. As time goes on we should be seeing high asic.

Bro so u means mostly the initial batch of the 980ti ref cards were suppose to be TX just bcos were couldn't pass so they were slashed to become 980ti? Since this is the first time i'm using Nvidia GPU is it good or bad? hmm.gif

Anyone on Nvidia GeForce 820A? Any idea when will the updated driver to ensure compatibility with Windows 10 be released? Currently am advised that 820A is not compatible for win 10. hmm.gif

Actually no.It will take around 3 to 4 months to sort out bugs from Nvidia and MS to gain performance on Win 10.
Same happened when people shift from Win 7 to Win 8 so win 7 was faster when win 8 launch but after proper updates and from Nvidia and MS Win 8 got faster.

In short Win 10 will not be fast as Win 8 at launch so it will take time to reduce bug.

All 980Ti ref cards are rejected Titan X. It's always been this way for GPUs and CPUs, nothing new.
Just because a small part of the fabrication process do not pass QA, it doesn't mean they have to throw the whole wafer away.

There are no guarantees that going for a 3rd party, non-ref 980Ti will yield a higher ASIC score either unless some manufacturer strikes a deal with Nvidia to cherry pick units off the fab.

Don't worry too much about the ASIC. You can always opt to bios mod if the traditional OCing process does not live up to your standards.

It won't. Either a game just simply won't boot or it does, and when it does it is just as good as Win7/8.1.
Been quite happy with Win 10 over the last few months.

They just need to polish off the rough edges here and there now.

Disagree.
In fact, Win 10 beta has been pretty darn good on games. Better than Win7 and 8.1, provided those games can actually launch. That said, many games has been launching fine on Win 10.

Frame latency, input lag, all have been as good as Win7/8.1, if not better in some cases.

Been using Win 10 beta for a few months now, can't be happier. This is how Win8 should have been.

As Ssjben pointed out. Its always been like that. Only the last round of kepler 780ti n titan black was full die fab.

Amd also
390 using gpu chip that couldnt pass 390x fab qc. 290 vs 290x. Upcoming fury vs fury x etc.
970 is a cutdown version of 980

Hence the value buy.

Isn't it RM3399? Is this RM500 more over Zotac AMP Extreme?
Well they have to keep innovating right (for the case of DCU3 and DCU2). I am waiting to see their review to see it is really gimmick or there is actual improvement.

take zotac 3+2 less hassle.. by the way still 980Ti rite? but this time asus DCU3 look nice with the fan blade gaps so close for better static pressure.

asus pcb + mosfet also improved a lot. the only i hate bout giga is that they got different rev pcb + brands memory. giga didn't change their windforce cooling & i didn't see they make a lot improvement like asus did this round.

like jayz said it cool the VRM well.. heard got coil whine but i think nowadays coil whine is common.

So in short, you would take Zotac over ASUS for 980Ti?
