First few minutes 60fps ultra 1440p gameplay graphics.
They need to fix that low fps on cutscenes. Causes stutters but on borderless window fps is up n no issue.

QUOTE In an effort to improve the GeForce Experience software, Nvidia is adding a new feature to deliver game-codes. Currently, this is only available in a Beta version of GeForce Experience, but to test it, Nvidia is giving The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt away for free to owners of a GeForce GTX Titan X. Yes, you read that right; existing owners of a Titan X can get a free Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game code. http://www.tomshardware.com/news/witcher-3...-gfe,29140.html Redeem here! http://www.geforce.com/titan-x-geforce-exp...de-instructions Awesome! |

Interesting that the once in the in onwards gpu usage takes a nose dive. CPU bottleneck prehaps.. odd that this doesnt happen my desktop. |

Few notes
Patch 1.03 1.Solves 970m dipped. Its running ultra/high combo with no hairworks. Fps 40-70s 2.Gsync lowers the fps a bit 3.Steam still syncs graphic settings between my desktop n laptop. After playing longer now. Game is beut. Very well done graphically. But the combat system is silly. |

QUOTE(S4PH @ May 24 2015, 01:34 PM) Yeah I totally agree, nvidia uses driver updates to make their older gpus obsolete as the hardware is still capable, pcars runs ok on amd need some tweaks to get it to run well. Pls dont buy into that keplers vs maxwell. We are finally seeing tech that take advantage of maxwell design. Maxwell has a different architecture. The way rop/smm on maxwell works is different. Hence now ure seeing more new games with better drivers. Samething during keplers. As new games comes out with especially new nvidia tech on it.. The new architecture just performs better. Nothing is being gimped. Its just the way things are. Maxwell is a tessalation monster. Amd architecture changes from hawaii to tahiti to gcn is not as big as kepler vs maxwell. Lets see what 390x brings. Whether it can be on par with nvidia maxwell tesselation efficiency or just brute power. This post has been edited by cstkl1: May 24 2015, 03:15 PM |

btw new geforce experience and 352.86 is totally screwed up
to fix DDU the whole thing Restart Reinstall 352.86 with driver +physx . Do not install GE Restart Download GE from Nvidia Website. Install that Change chrome to not using Hadrware Accelaration Change in NCP for Chome to use single card. ( for those with sli) funny that Nvidia 353 on laptop has no issue at all. QUOTE(Human10 @ May 31 2015, 11:21 PM) 80c at 100% fan speed do sound pretty ridiculous. You tried repaste and clean it before? Pascal launch will depend on amd 380/390 performance. Since now it is at RMA, you can either wait for it come back and see if they helped you solved it. If not then you can consider a new card or 3rd party GPU cooler. GTX960 really don't sound like a big upgrade to GTX760 apart from the recent kepler gimping fiasco. If I am you, I will rather save more till budget enough for a GTX970. Or worse come to worse, wait till Nvidia's Pascal is launched then only decide. Nvidia's tradition is to launch a low mid end card with new architecture first. Combined with die shrink and new architecture, who knows GTX1050TI (?) may be just as powerful as GTX960 for a cheaper price? As for RMA service of warranty, I place my bad that 9/10 people here will tell you it sucks, while another 1 had yet tried with it. For the memory bus, it isn't much of a big concern for the time being (pardon me as my knowledge on DX12 improvement is pretty limited, not sure the effect of bus width on it). GTX960 is designed for such a bus width as Nvidia is confident with their Maxwell (another thing is Nvidia is always pretty "cheapskate" and limited, they rarely give you overkill or "futureproof" specifications be it low end to high end), so in short it won't bother much or any. Another concern on 960 is the 2GB vs 4GB. For a mid end card, 2GB is still the more optimized one. Any settings which require higher than 2GB VRAM are usually result in bad sub 30FPS also, no point pump it that high. Also dx12 game launches. If both are delayed we wont be seeing pascal quite a while Y?? Dp1.3 validation Hbm high density mem Nvlink n unified mem Btw gtx960 is closer to gtx770 performance. As for pascal first line gpus. It will be low/mid end mobile gpus first. Nvidia & intel atm is unchallenged here. This post has been edited by cstkl1: Jun 1 2015, 12:22 AM |

QUOTE(yaphong @ Jun 1 2015, 11:49 AM) To go 4k we need at least double processing power of GTX 980Ti. again depends what ure gaming atGTX 980Ti is actually good enough for 21:9 @ 1440p.... GTX 980 is struggling to get 60 fps in some modern games, especially with NVidia Gamework's tech turned on. Reality Check Truth to be told 980ti/Titan X Sli Maxed out gaming. @1080p Min 100fps @1440p min 60fps @4k min 30fps 970sli @1080p Min60fps @1440p Min 30fps 980 is like the in-between card. Titan X now kindda pointless. New games are actually managing VRAM much better 5gb is the sweet spot This post has been edited by cstkl1: Jun 1 2015, 12:11 PM |

QUOTE(yaphong @ Jun 1 2015, 12:19 PM) In general alot of ppl talk about avg. i prefer min fps. Titan x/980ti can power a 4k gaming but not maxed out. Myth debunked.. 4k does require AA depending on ure pixel pitch of ure monitor. Bigger screen n you will start noticing jaggies. Maxwell scaling to reso is insane. It looses less fps to pixel increase based on multiplier. New game engines/tech etc are coming out showcasing there is no need for a 12gb vram Remeber there is the basic three types of gamers 1. Rts/rpg 2. Fps 3. Simulation I am more of 2&3. 1 only single player mode to kill time . Fps n response rate hits me hard. I can drive project cars on my desktop close to perfect now but still cannot get used to laptop. Eventhough fps counter on lower settings is thr same as my desktop. Same as 120fps on FPS . When ure used to that you get used to it. Like ducking headshots etc. easier to do. So decide what type of game you like. Fidelity you want etc. I know loads of ppl who has killer rigs but dont use any of that power they have because the genre of games they play doesnt use it. |

QUOTE(marfccy @ Jun 1 2015, 03:40 PM) well, youve already have an SLi setup which is way faster than single 980 Ti... nah bro i tested a 970sli oced seriously jerky as mad for 1440p. My first titan X Overclocked was almost similar fps but smoother.stick with it unless you have thick wallets? 980ti should be close. vram all under 6gb except CODAQ & SOM. he should change. less power while ure at it. 970 doesnt have enough vram for 1440p. http://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-980-ti-review/ check the min fps for 1440p. Like SOM. that 970 is higher clock based on default as well. This post has been edited by cstkl1: Jun 1 2015, 03:49 PM |

QUOTE(marfccy @ Jun 2 2015, 12:36 AM) Same here. Prefer reference. The quality of nvidia heatsink is way better Only matrix n classified coolers are very good quality The rest .. I think ure paying more for cheaper cooling. Zotac arctic storm got me piqued. It looks like a xspc razer type block with acceloro extreme on it.
