Guys, any AMD gpu to recommend at rm6xx? I can get an Nvidia GTX 960 at that price though. Just wanna know my options on red camp.

You can get 960 for RM6xx? New one? No AMD card around that price can beat 960 unless u buy 2nd hand. Closest is R9-280 around RM7xx.

i got my Sapphire 7970 Reference (R9 280) for less than RM600 , and it can go ultra on BF 4 and medium on Unity (21 fps though), all my games i playing at 1080p (Full HD)

The cheapest GTX960 is RM749-759 la.

Umm no,the R9 280 is tiny bit faster than HD7950 w/Boost IINM,but not HD7970.

i not sure, but i favor the FX proc more cause less auto restart and BSOD, i dont know why my 2nd rig keeps auto restart and BSOD, but i suspect its the PSU, but then again 7970 minimum requirement is only 500w lol @.@, owh yeah and as for the FX + 780ti, i can say that the FX doesnt bottleneck cause my 780ti always runs at 100 %

Umm where did you got the source that say that the HD7970 can be used with 500W PSU?Good quality 550W and above is recommended.

ah ok, 550w, well that should be enough coming from my PSU no ? anyway my point is that the Intel build (with 7970) keeps auto restart and freeze, and BCOD, while my old build (A10- 7850K + R7 250X) runs smoothly no problem, never freezes auto restart or even BSOD, just when i switch to intel and also 7970 this problem occurs @.@, and my other FX rig runs like a GOD lmao X3

Bro,sometimes,when a company label their PSU as for example,650W,it could be a cap ayam one and only have 200-300W.
For PSUs,we look at quality.Around RM279-359,can already get Seasonic PSU.

yeah TBH i feel the same way too.. my previous fx 8350 running rock stable at 4.8ghz.. i think not more than 3 times of BSOD for almost 2 years of usage.. currently with i7 4790k oc at 4.8ghz, im getting 2-3 times of BSOD every month since 6 months of usage.. usually getting bccode 3b and 50 everytime BSOD happened. prime95 for 1hour no prob so i dont think my oc causing the problem.. maybe i just need a fresh format and test again.. errr off-topic

ah i am glad that i am not the only one XD, btw what i mean my 2nd rig is the one with the intel i5, and not the FX 6350, cause the FX is the senior and the i5 is the junior XD, i guess the BSOD and Freeze runs in the intel family XD

The CPU you ran on the Unity, is it the i5 4690? Also is your Unity the latest patch?

I ran Unity on my i5 4440 and R9 290 on Ultra and I got 40-50 fps. Minimum I got is 30fps, my fps ranged from 45-60 depending on the area. I disabled soft shadows and HBAO+, with FXAA.

Oh ya, Cooler Master G550M isn't really a good PSU. While your other rig has much higher quality PSU.

I rarely crashes on my rig except when I'm running at low voltage then the GPU needs when I overclocked it. I rarely crashes after pumping more voltage on my GPU as well as running stock on my GPU.

I get similar FPS with the same settings, does Unity scale over 4 threads?nope.
