going to throw in my gtx960 back into my main rig  , to play on ps4 is too expensive a t300rs wheel cost 1.6k more than the price of my console already

Seriously its time for new drivers from amd, project cars is seriously laggy. My gtx960 gave a frame rate boost of 20fps. A r9 290 outperformed by a gtx960

on these settings bro please dont be bothered by my noob driving  Project Cars really favour Nvidia in this game, GTX960 pawns my r9 290, in clear weather with same settings i can get 40 ish fps. This GTX 960 gave consistent 55-60fps  . I wait for AMD new drivers, haven tried the beta drivers though 

Not bad running The Witcher 3. I turned off Nvidia Hairworks but turned on HBAO+, and then off Motion Blur, Chromatic Aberration, & Vignette (I just don't like this effects). I also set foliage and distance to high (forgot what's the exact setting's name).

With Vsync off it's running around 70fps at Kaer Mohan, Vsync on it's usually on 60fps and sometimes dips to 55fps.

I ran 1080/1250 on my GPU.

When I turned on Nvidia Hairworks at outside, I got like 40% penalty. I tried it inside the inn, my fps dropped from 60fps to 22-25 fps   
Nvidia Hairworks looked good but it's doesn't look natural. I'm fine with Hairworks off. Haven't see monster's fur yet.

EDIT: cutscene videos aren't smooth at all in the game, you can manually set it in the ini file to turn off movieubersampling and set the fps to 60:

meaning I drop details from ultra to high,  and increase aa.  I will give it a try.  my poor r9 is resting waiting for batman

AMD's Flagship Fiji / Fiji XT GPU w/ HBM will not be in the 300 Series, but rather a Titan-esque card!

Anyone who looks forward to a new generation of graphics cards from AMD will be prepared that there will be very many news. The upcoming Radeon 300 series consists mostly of older chips with a twist, where, for example trimmed versions of today Hawaii is said to be the Radeon R9 390 and 390X . Many therefore puts the jump to the new worst no Fiji.

It looks like AMD puts the plans and do not use the famous graphics processor Fiji for the regular 300 series. Instead, the lavish circuit be the basis for one or more "halo products", that is quite unique creations whose chief purpose is to create attention.

The strategy is similar in broad outline Nvidia up with Geforce GTX Titan. The most powerful graphics processor in a new generation used initially for a very lavish graphics card for enthusiasts, with performance in the monster class and a remarkably high price tag. It is thus not about to sell in large numbers but to create a model that especially strengthens its own brand.

In the case of Fiji, it may also be the only option. The new graphics processor is the first with stacked memories or High Band With Memory, a memory that has not yet produced any significant volumes and probably considerably more expensive than usual GDDR5 memory. The outlook for pinpoint a popular price point and clamp with a big seller may therefore be limited to say the least.

AMD is expected to introduce the Radeon 300 series at the show Computex in early June. Anyone who is curious about Fiji, however, may hold out for another couple of weeks because AMD looks to save super-hot model to play fair E3, which begins in the middle of the same month.

AMD confirms 4GB limit for first HBM graphics card

AMD's just taken the wraps off its shiny new high bandwidth memory (HBM) technology, and as rumoured, the company is limited to a total of 4GB for its first-generation HBM product. While AMD has yet to reveal specifics of what that product might be, it did tell us that it'll be a GPU, it'll be priced towards the higher end of the spectrum, and that you'll be able to walk into a store and buy one within "the next couple of months." The rumour mill strongly suggests that this first HBM part will be the R9 390X.

With all this Physx saga recently, I wonder if anyone from red camp tried the combination of 290x + low end Nvidia card dedicated for Physx?

I wonder what is AMD new mainstream and high performance line up, if FIJI is enthusiast rather than affordable performance card.  How they can scale down FIJI chip?  The new Tonga chip is not a performance chip, can they make it a new performance chip based on Tonga?

Or AMD user will have to stick with Hawaii rebadge for mainstream performance card?

P/S: I have a strong feeling that FIJI will not be using a R9 390x name scheme.  It can be R10 XXX.

NGREDIA has done it again. But if u take the console version project cars how did they optimize it? its running AMD APU  ps4 runs it smoothly. I know they tweaked down the Physx on the console version for sure but heck they could do it for PS4
