Well my astrix mobo decided to die on me, so just a thought of replacing it only. :/ Budget around RM400, all peripherals are going to reuse.

Any thoughts on the new MSI Z97 USB 3.1 based motherboards? Or should I stick to the current selection?

I'm getting BSODs on a fortnightly basis now also. All when playing BF4. Sigh. The latest patch really screwed my PC up. Before this no BSODs for almost 5 months straight after the build.

If the xeon supports only upto 1600mhz and the mobo up to 3000mhz. then  if i want to upgrade my rams in the future , I have to pick 1600 mhz rams?

Others will use back existing if they r not fried.

Use mainly for medium gaming, movies, surfing etc.
PC is on almost 24x7
my existing PSU is Silverstone 500w
