Alright understood. Thanks for clear explanation. So just pay extra rm45 for every month until settle the full amount.
*
Or you can call HSBC and ask whether they can convert your statement balance of RM3,000 to monthly installment.
Normally they will charge one time 1.88% admin fee from this RM3,000 balance and split the RM3,000 monthly installment without interest.

But not sure if they offer this to new card holder because normally I received SMS from HSBC asking me if I want to convert my monthly statement to installment

I oso received this kind of SMS. So they just charge rm3000 x 1.88%  one time only and let u settle the rm3000 in 12 months without monthly interest? Seems like very nice.
*
Yes. that’s how it works.
The 1.88% admin fee is charged together with your 1st installment. So for subsequent installment you just pay the monthly installment without interest

Yeah HSBC is one of the better banks in offering waiver. However their card is not as attractive. Give and take.
*
Indeed.
Normally people apply HSBC cards for the RM500 Lazada voucher.
Other than that, their points are still considered OK, as can redeem 35,000 points for RM100 Lazada or Grab vouchers

It's on the 1st day of every month, until the CB is fully redeemed for that particular month.
So the next promo date is on 1st October

To be on safe side, swipe at least once a month for consecutive 12 months

ermm...my card got charged rm98 from www.braingrismz.com, a website from cyprus. i did not get any tac number direct charge my card d...now trying to call their customer service and waiting more than 30min no one pick up my call yet.
*
Send them an email and most likely they will call you back on the same day
I sent them a very nasty email complaining that their customer service is almost non-existence and I will complaint to BNM if no one call me back. mad.gif
The chat service on HSBC app is also a piece of sh*t as the virtual CS is totally useless. Last time I had to wait for almost 10 minutes before a human respond to my query on their chat service
Your chance of striking a 4D winning number is greater than of their SC picking-up your call tongue.gif

But their sales agent always bombard you with offer for cash advanced, personal loan, etc
HSBC should have prioritize their CS instead of their sales instead doh.gif

It depends too, sometimes the chat is busy and take quite a white to receive response from CS. Worse is sometimes no notification (not sure smt is wrong with my phone or the app) and I miss their reply and have to start all over!
Is there still any email address we could send them? If yes, please share because I can't locate any!
I agree, I don't understand why the waiting time is long for calls and the chat is terrible too!
I tried to use the chat function via web, it didn't work and must download and use the app.

Their customer service helpline is terrible, and their chat function is utterly terrible too.
I removed my HSBC card from those online transactions like Shopee, eWallet, etc, and will only use for physical transaction.

The only reason I'm sticking with HSBC for now is because the 35000 rewards points to redeem RM100 Shopee voucher, Grab, etc.

Have been using HSBC VS for many years.
So far never been charged AF.
Very easy to swipe at least once per month
