Waiver may hard to get thru phone since not easy to reach them. I'm thinking by doing cancellation to get the waiver now. 😂

QUOTE(wjleong15 @ Sep 10 2022, 12:14 AM)
Crazy
I spent very less with my hsbc
Gonna cut next year if no waiver

Agreed with you on sms notifications. System requested to set any value above 0 but not always get sms. My MBB always got notification.

QUOTE(Billy.Who @ Sep 15 2022, 02:00 PM)
Wow that is indeed fast.

The other problem with HSBC cards is the inconsistent sms notifications.. I don't always get a notification when transactions are made.

Only noticed the weird transactions when i suddenly received random OTPs.

Their service getting worst. Time to cancel their credit card.

QUOTE(thecurious @ Sep 15 2022, 08:09 PM)
Is HSBC avoiding customer's call to have a good day or something? Never had to call another bank for over one hour and still no one picks up...

Huh removed email function too? Thought of use email to inform them to cancel my credit cards next month.

QUOTE(starry-starry @ Sep 16 2022, 12:06 AM)
I agree! Even the chat function takes a long time to wait for a CS to respond!

I don't understand why they remove the email function, this chat is so difficult to keep track of issues highlighted and not to mention calls that take FOREVER to speak to a CS!!!!  ranting.gif

QUOTE(MystiqueLife @ Sep 16 2022, 02:08 AM)
Last time I called them and asked, minimum amount for notification transactions are above RM 100. I dont know why there's this minimum amount and it's a hit and miss.  dry.gif  dry.gif

HSBC Mpower card few years ago asked SC to set it and never changed after that. Online below RM100 include topup received sms. However exclude pump petrol which never received sms even spend more than RM100.

QUOTE(MystiqueLife @ Sep 22 2022, 02:05 AM)
Which card are you using? I just called again and minimum amount limit for OTC transaction is 100 while for online transaction, there is no minimum limit.

Yes for example spent at Village Grocer (RM92.75) & AEON (RM26.35) which below RM100, sms notification immediately received upon waved the card.

Well I got spend at one of the cafe every weekend but never received any sms at all when pay with wave.

That's why I wondered why I sometime get sometime not.

QUOTE(MystiqueLife @ Sep 22 2022, 09:58 AM)
Do you get any transaction SMS via contactless paywave or pin below 100?

I think more due to very hard to contact them like previous years. Last year whenever you call, HSBC sure can reach n give you answer immediately. Now..... all depend on your luck. Possible cut cost to 3rd party call centre... hahaha...

seems recently hsbc not that generous

Just called to cancel my HSBC Amanah Cash Bank Card & HSBC Visa Signature. Phone pickup very fast. The officer keep asking what's reason. I just told them lots of fraud cases in HSC cards and don't feel secure to hold. The officer keep saying that this not happened to HSBC but to other banks too bla bla bla. Therefore proceed to card cancellation over the phone. Very smooth process for less than 10 minutes.

monthly charge service tax? What is this? Does it sound logic to you?

QUOTE(BuKeYi @ May 25 2023, 04:19 PM)
I see on iMoney, the service tax is monthly charge, is that true?

Since HSBC website didn't have any info about the annual fees and service tax

Yes common. If 3 times also you cant meet, then will be big question why you need this card.

QUOTE(synical @ Oct 4 2023, 04:48 PM)
Just did the live chat; got the "use 3 times in 30 days" option, which I'm guessing is a common thing?

The agent no idea what he or she doing. biggrin.gif All supporting tell the truth. You may get into trouble by purposely cheating your income declaration if the bank seriously look into the application.

QUOTE(yellowpika @ Dec 7 2023, 03:58 PM)
By asking me to put a higher annual gross salary in the application form instead of putting my actual gross salary.. coz the agent said that I need to exceed the minimum salary requirement by more than 30% for the application of the HSBC VS card (which I’m skeptical about but okay..)

Answer is NO. All HSBC cards use the same method. You may call HSBC to double confirm.
