so in this scenario, when i called to cancel the card (minutes later after i received the SMS about the transactions), HSBC just advised to wait for the transactions to pass through, then only start the claim back process.
Is this normal procedure ?
In my opinion, it's not normal. From their SOP, it's probably normal. When you file a dispute, include this in.

then later on when after the transaction passed through and i called them, they said its a problem from ITUNES side and ask me to personally contact ITUNES to claim my money back because HSBC assumed it was my ITUNES account that was doing the purchases when i told them i actually have an ITUNES account linked to the credit card.
Then it's a mistake on their end isn't it? Even stronger case for you.

then again i called HSBC, who informed me to fill in dispute form to claim back the money.
my question is, are these procedures normal ?
and can i get back my money ?
Pay first and file dispute form is normal. You have a strong case, and even stronger if you have a voice recording that they instructed you to allow the transaction through.

Guys I got hsbc amanah purely for their 0% cash advance . Do I qualify for the Lazada voucher, since I'll be paying 1 k every month for the cash advance?
No. You're only entitled for only 1 promo.
