In BR today, after the previous Sunday makan makan and winning a lucky draw. 

They will have a new promo starting Jun 1st to 30th. 12 mth 4.25%, min 25k. Have monthly interest as usual. @magika, interested ?? 

Confirmed that they are now charging RM5 per year for co-op card, RM8 for the other card.

Also called CB to place some short term FD. Liked their phone banking as convenient to place and uplift FD. Except their rate is bad. 

Funds are always limited. 

But I tot you played big in stock market, UT and FD.  So it is a matter of moving from one pocket to the next one. 

I have reduced egss in BR by half already. Going to maintain and will not increase there. Spread out the risk, answer to your "u not scared meh".


Looking to June promo for some action next week. 

AmBank seems to be trying to compete for <12 mths FD. They told me on 4 & 9 mths FD promo only. 
The BC talk is for the branch that I was in. It is also when we complained in the high tea session in a hotel. Also my branch last time said no Rentas except for business acct. So, each branch of BR is operating differently !

After dropping more than half of my deposits there, I am just maintaining my acct since Feb. Just renewing matured ones. But I really like their monthly interest and no issue for me, unlike Ah Boom ! 

Surprised with your Rentas, worst than my experience. I remember I asked about it and few forummers said it is IMMEDIATE. But learned yesterday that banks run Rentas in batches. 

You can go and talk to BR HQ then !

I think there was discussion on this aspect 3 years or so ago. Anyway so far what I get from BR has been fixed per the FD cert. 

Oh..our big magician always gives excellent advice that never
put money in saving plan..otherwise we will regret one day.. 
Even is Islamic FD, but it won't make a big difference like that.... I will go to talk to them.. 

Wanted to add to the BC's cheque using personal cheque, was told cannot do so. Some banks just "mix and match" between cash & cheques. But Affin Bank not allowed. 

Some one here teach me, no risk no gain.

Ah Sir..I just called to BR branch regarding the issue of lowering 0.10% in my 5 years FD.

BR admitted that effective this month since after changed to Berjangka from Mubeen, BR has adjusted and lowered
my FD rate by 0.10% in their system, and for somehow they cannot do anything to adjust back my original FD
rate in their system... 

They promised to do either one of these methods to rectify:

A. (Solution 1) Pay the difference each month to my saving account manually,
OR
B. (Solution 2) Omit the Solution 1, pay the difference in one lump sum when the FD is matured, which will be 2017.

I also asked for an official letter to prove that my 5 years FD is 4.xx% (original rate), but not the lowered rate shown
in BR system. BR officer said would call to HQ and let me know later.... 

I just checked my iRakyat account, my Berjangka FD received the monthly interest on time..

I guess the rest of my old 5 years Mubeen (now changed to Berjangka) FDs will receive interest based on the
date I placed my FDs..Let's see..
