QUOTE(blackamikaze @ Oct 6 2006, 12:40 AM) u mean.. all other country just ban malaysia peer?.. thats not a good sign dont u think?.. are they gonna attack us or what?.. not make sense at all. Well, it is possible. I remember that I've read a list of ISP blocking thingy.. And it show which ISP is already blocked, in p2p ofcuz. It sounds crazy, but yes, it's possible. However, I do think the problem is only related to TMnut. Forgein don't have any reason to block us as you know, M'sia just a small country.

The off-topic posts have been dealt with and should no longer hamper your browsing experience. As for the forumer in question, the matter is currently being handled via PM. An amicable solution has been offered. This incident will most likely not repeat itself.
My sincere apologies I took awhile to take action. I hope you will continue to contribute to this topic. We may now put this bitter incident behind us.
Onward!
This post will be deleted in 2 days. further discussion of whether TMNET is capping our lines or not should be at another thread. ask that fella to open one if there isn't any. thank you for your effort of avoiding this thread from being contaminated by some arrogant apes.

QUOTE(peterbrutus @ Oct 6 2006, 01:12 AM) are the contributed peers local or international? Most of them are international peers, although they upload at 1-2kB/s but the number of peers uploading is great, therefore adding up will get incredible speed.

I know it's hard, but not everyone is going to repeat this for the millionth time. You put the proxy IP in your torrent client. You put it together with the port number. Your torrent client should have some option to set proxies. Someone said used Socks5. Proxies expire extremely fast, (ie the person who is hosting the proxy gets banned or w/ever for allowing too many connections in) so that's why it doesn't work. It's a hit-or-miss thing. If you get a new proxy number, you may get lucky. Please note, the proxy instructions here are mostly for programs that support them. If you have no problem surfing the net, then proxies are not for you.

I've just discovered that my friend's Streamyx connection is being BT-capped recently.. the day before yesterday was fine, but I tried downloading stuff at his place, the whole afternoon, only achieved around 2mb of data.. I'm going to try SSH proxy list from XROXY.com.. see if it helps at all..

Just to report if someone found useful. Been testing this HTTP-Tunnel - www.http-tunnel.com for 2 days now. Lucky me, they gave 1 week free key to try their high bandwidth server. Downloading is awesome and fast. Connection speed sustain at 50+ all the time (RM66 package). But need to limit 1 or 2 torrent at a time coz their tunneling apps not very stable yet. Not yet tried with other client, only uTorrent. Bitcomet is recommended by them but I hate to change client. Seeding not so great though but I think that's coz Tmnet cap my http upload so bad only can get max 10kB only. Mostly 5kB. Not so bad for USD4.99 a month. When seeding just use normal way.

Hey, mind to teach me how to use that? I can't seems to setup it correctly. It says Error : Exception - The parameter is incorrect. What should I enter at the Configuration? Thanks

Easy. Download their software, install and go to configure -->select Auto Detect and click test. It will configure itself and you're done with it.
Now go to your client. I use utorrent, so Preferences --> Connection --> under "Proxy Server" change the "Type:" from "none" to "socks4" or "socks5". I use socks5 because they support UDP but socks4 also can. Fill in "Proxy:" with "localhost" or "127.0.0.1" and "Port:" with "1080". Don't forget to tick "use proxy server for peer-to-peer connection" --> OK.
Your r done. But mind you that their free server (without key) can go up to 1.5kB only. Not so useful for P2P.
