Trilane is common though. But that playing is indeed rare in my mmr bracket. I can learn this now.

After reading your words, seem like I still have a long way to get better in doto sweat.gif

That's the correct mindset if you want to improve. Trust me most 6k players felt the same way. If they think they're good enough they won't achieve that 6k. The better you get the more you realize that you're lacking. Once you think you're good enough, you will grow complacent and stop improving. You will always find excuses to shift the blame to others instead of focusing and looking at your own mistakes.

Edit:

I think talent and effort alone is not enough to be the best. You need luck and connection too. For me, my luck came 3 years ago when i met Jon, now captain of Insidious Idol, in pub game. I added and talked to him. Later he always invite me to play party with his friends. I learned a lot from him, but what impressed me the most was his attitude. I remember when we were 0-10 down, he calmly said "relax, its fine". That was the first time i met someone like that after years playing dota, from my g-arena days until dota 2.

Had i not met him, i'll be like your average assholes in sea server. Blame others all day in pub and never improve. Just like in life, the people you meet will shape who you are. If i ever achieve success in dota in the future, i owe it to him.

@kaiser96 can we play together soon?

I don't play party but you can add me. Tell me who you are or just say you're from lowyat in my steam profile page. Any forumers who want to add me can do the same. I need to keep my friends list clean. Too many friend request after solo rmm game.

Now that i think about it, i can make more pictures like that to explain support roles.

For that purpose, I need a larger version of this. Google has failed me, or maybe i'm just too lazy.

Ok, i've accepted a few friend request from LYN forumes. If if haven't accepted your friend request, make sure you post comment on my profile page.

I have another inspirational story to share.

2 weeks ago i met Jed in solo ranked matchmaking. Actually i've known jed before he was even a 6k player. Back then he was not famous yet, i added him and gave him free meepo set so that he would keep me in his friendlist. I got to watch and study him play, worth more than any tickets that I've ever bought from volvo store brows.gif .

We were losing that game so badly, finally he told me "Kaizer, give up we lost already.". So we go chill in the nearby trees. No we didn't give up too fast. When a 7k told you the game is already lost, the game is already fking lost.

Then, i don't remember the exact words, but he said something like this to me.

"Kaizer, i don't know if its my fault we lost or the teammates."

I was like wtf?! Can you imagine a 7k, 16 years old, Pinoy player said something like that. Such is the mindset of a great player.

How can a 7k player still considering whether its his fault or not when the game was lost. Even when the odds were so against his favor. Sometimes he had to play against 3 player close to 6k while being matched up with low 5k or 4k teammates.

Now think back, are we even half as good as him? Do we even get matched with players with much lower MMR than us? How many times do we have to blame our teammates before we realize we're not good enough.
