QUOTE(nachtsider @ Sep 3 2015, 09:23 AM) While it really could have been anything that caused your dog to bark, this is, in fact, the correct thing to do. my house are really safe. have tian gong alter at infront, behind have malay earth god, inside facing main door have grandparent alter. yet have white old figure always stay behind house. my dog never bark at this white old figureUnless you are under any sort of direct threat from spirits, just ignore them. QUOTE(meistsh_musical @ Sep 4 2015, 11:37 AM) This is a Datuk, a Malay earth/nature deity.Datuks play a similar role to the Chinese earth gods, but that is where the similarities end. They are quite different from Chinese earth gods in terms of origins, personality, symbolism and methods of worship. |

What's the different between sin tua medium that is in trance to compare against those trance that invoked by Thai's monk ? Especially people that has sak yant (yantra tattoo) on them. A sintua medium allows himself and only himself to enter a trance. Unlike the Thai occultists, he does not induce a trance in anyone else, especially not in individuals who are not mediums. |

Today is the birthday of Lord Zhang the Serpent-Queller, whom I have spoken about earlier in the thread.
Here is a picture of him, being channelled through a medium, receiving birthday greetings from mediums channelling the Black and White Brothers. ![]() |

QUOTE(nachtsider @ Mar 3 2015, 09:04 PM) The Five Ghosts serve the Hell deities alone, Joey. They have zero involvement with the Heavenly side of things. Heavenly gods have their own, non-undead/non-ghostly helpers. I observed normal god temple does display five ghosts on their alter. But seem you said they only serving hell deity, why they display five ghost on the alter? That being said, you have the right idea; they are assistants both soldierly and clerical, who also do things like shine their masters' shoes and make their tea. |

QUOTE(maraippo @ Sep 5 2015, 09:29 AM) Can tell about this Datuk? Quite interesting. What is the origin and what is the differences that u mention? Datuks are Malay nature spirits and earth deities. Most of them take the form of Malay men in traditional Malay attire, and are Muslim. Halal restrictions apply when making offerings to them and entering their houses of worship. Unlike Chinese earth deities, who are typically described as being laid-back, forgiving and mellow, Datuks can be very strict with their devotees and quick to punish those who do not abide by their rules. |
