QUOTE(nachtsider @ May 7 2016, 03:47 PM)
I'll let you in on something that a good number of people are unaware about.

Not all human souls are reincarnated souls.

Completely fresh souls, not having being born previously, still do exist.

They can come into being at random from acts of conception.

Barbarous humans can simply be fresh souls that went down the wrong path in life, or reincarnated souls who did not learn well from their time in the next world.

Souls that are slated for reincarnation as animals will not be 'pushed to be human beings because humans reproduce too quickly'.

There is no 'human population quota' to be met.

Hey that's something new for me. Was certainly unaware there's such a thing. Thanks for the lesson again! thumbup.gif rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

A young lady deity with one hand lifted somewhat like the fortune cat. Seen her being worshipped at some business premises.

Can't say I've heard of such a one.

You sure she's a Chinese deity?

Hi Putra, thank you so much for reading my thread; I'm glad you're entertained. Please stay tuned; I promise to keep things fun. smile.gif

The tall boxy hats that Tua Ya Pek and Li Ya Pek wear are based on the hats worn by police constables during the Song Dynasty; they denote their status as officers of the spiritual law.

As mentioned previously, Tua Ya Pek's magic fan is a tool that he can use to draw the soul out of a person or creature's body, by waving it over the person/creature in question.

The Hell bank notes he carries in his sling bag are objects he can use as talismans to either bless the worthy or curse the wicked.

Unfiltered Camels are his favourite blend of cancer sticks; I have yet to see him partake of coffee, though Guinness Stout is always a hit with him ('black dog'/黑狗, not 'black oil', is what they call it in my neck of the woods, however, on account of the dark colour of the stuff and the Guinness bulldog mascot).

He is a cop first and foremost, with the responsibility of subduing spiritual criminals, but yes, he isn't beneath counseling those in need of a spot of advice. smile.gif

Yes, Camels are his favorite ciggies. Other brand I've seen is Lucky Strike. Sometimes the ciggies are laced with opium (I assume, looks like thick soya sauce).

I wonder how come most mediums on trance with Tua Ya Pek and less common with 2nd Uncle?

Opium paste, yes. It is increasingly difficult to obtain these days, however. And... gosh, you've just reminded me that I haven't puffed on Luckies in a while. I've used Camels almost exclusively for the past decade or so. Maybe it's time to correct this. brows.gif

Supply and demand. Tua Ya is generally more approachable than Li Ya.

Is hell is very scary place?

You make your own Hell with the misdeeds you commit.

Exactly how scary it is therefore hinges on you.

Ask me about a specific deity and I will give you a specific answer, otherwise you'll be in for massive walls of text that I probably won't have the time to type out anyway.

Yes.

He is the most senior of the Ten Judges, presiding over the Fifth Court of Hell, which is the administrative hub.

Who is the Mysterious Lady of the Ninth Heaven?

Jiu Tian Xuan Nu/九天玄女, the Mysterious Lady of the Ninth Heaven, is a powerful Celestial entity. A warrior goddess and master strategist, she has assisted many an emperor of ancient China in formulating plans to win decisive battles, victory in which ensured the peace and stability of the nation. She can easily be identified by the golden gourd she holds in one hand and the sword or horsetail whisk she wields in the other; her familiar animal, in whose company she can sometimes be seen, is the phoenix. Some believe her to be analogous to the Hindu battle-goddess Durga.

Who are the Tai Bao She Ren Ye?

The Tai Bao She Ren Ye/太保舍人爷 or Noble Twin Lords were two young Song Dynasty monarchs, a pair of brothers who waged battle against the Mongol invaders. Renowned for being courageous and resourceful beyond their tender years, they commanded their armies valiantly against overwhelming odds and were inseparable to the end, as indicated by the fact that they are always depicted together with clasped hands in statue form. They are revered as protectors of children, prayed to when a devotee wishes for his or her offspring to be intelligent, plucky, honourable and successful.

Hvnt gone through all pages, but read u mentioned don't believe anyone that says they can channel souls of dead people through their body.

Do u mean all those mediums are fake? Then how come some of them know so much? Like suddenly crying then calling ur name (childhood nickname) that only family member know. Or asking bout another family member who are not present in the room.

How bout fortune tellers? How accurate are they in 'seeing' the future? smile.gif

Any medium who claims to be able to channel the soul of a dead relative is a fake.

The souls of the dead cannot be summoned from the next world as one so pleases.

How do they know so much?

Look up cold reading, a way to subtly coax out information from someone via careful questioning.

Some of the more dangerous mediums can also use black magic to read your mind or the minds of others who are in the room with you.

Fortune tellers can only make predictions based on whatever circumstances and decisions have affected you up until that particular point in time when they make their predictions.

If your circumstances or decisions alter even when the prediction is being made, the prediction can change just like that.

For example, if you are thinking of going to eat bak kut teh 2 minutes before the fortune teller is trying to predict where you are going to eat next, but change your mind while he is performing the reading and decide to eat at McDonald's instead, his prediction can and will alter to reflect your change of mind.

The future is not set in stone.
