QUOTE(davidke20 @ Dec 26 2014, 09:54 AM)
Check few things:

1) Rear boot lock sensor. If its loosen, it will ground by itself. This happened sometimes overnight when atmosphere become heavy humid, vapor went short circuit the boot sensor. Not applicable for SV as the rear boot sensor is NOT connected.

2) All 4 doors striker plate are in place. Then check the door sensor nipple whether its straight by pressing the nipple & release quickly. Its a common flaw for all GaGa. Usually open up the nipple cover, spray WD40 can resolve the issue.

3) Cabin light, whether the switch is properly set to DOOR/ON/OFF. If given anytime the switch was set between or out of align with any of those toggle, yes it may trigger your alarm even the doors are still locked.

The above all 3 can be diagnosed DURING your alarm set off. Do not unarm your alarm or do anything during inspection. Peek through your driver window look into your dash cluster & see whether the DOOR OPENED indicator lite up. If yes, the above all 3 need to be checked. If not, no.4, 5 & 6 it is:

4) Alarm module short circuit. Open the trunk, on the left side got carpet bind with 3 plastic pin, pull them off & u will see the alarm module there. Give it a few knock in the face in the hope it fixed itself. Otherwise, go back claim warranty if still within 1 year. Or pay some 300++ to get a replacement. Do not attempt to bypass, all GaGa from 2010 hardwired the alarm code to immobilizer, & immobilizer is hardwired with ECU. Changing to aftermarket require extensive knowledge in rewiring the entire security system. Some claim they can bypass the immobilizer by simply take out the transponder from your key & glue it at the steering console, that does the job, but your fuel pump will not set to REST mode. Prepare to change fuel pump every year if you're lucky enough, otherwise lower grade pumps will just give up in few months time due to pressure gets overwhelmed, or worst petrol burst out from fuel line & set your car on fire whilst you're in sweet dreams.

5) Driver's door lock actuator motor gone wonky. The wiring are set to detect when doors are opened the centre locking system is disabled by default. If the module gone faulty, there's a chance it ground itself & sent door opened signal to alarm module & trigger your alarm regardless the lock are actually still intact.

6) Door lock actuator socket loosen. This 1 highly unlikely, if the socket loosen, when humid increase, it ground itself, your door lock opened, but will not set off your alarm until someone go open the door without unarming the alarm.

Good luck in checking. Believe wankel have similar issue.

mine i believe was no3 because that time cabin light was set to door. didnt have the chance to test it because im afraid to leave car at workplace so i bought a replacement battery while the car was still alive.

dageatdzul I would like to discuss with you about oil cooler because I have plan on using it but most on the market are all without thermostat sandwich plate. The only companies that made the plate with a thermostat is either, Greddy, Earl's, Mocal or Mishimoto which they are priced quite high. I like particularly the inline thermostat from mishimoto because I can get a normal sandwich plate while others I need to get specific model (M. Evolution)

Since you have been using oil cooler. Does it take longer to warm up the engine oil since the oil will flow through the cooler once the pump starts working. If I have a thermostat I can control the flow to the cooler at specific temperature and this would be ideal for me and do you get much pressure drop after adding oil cooler as the route for the oil to circulate is longer. I'm looking for a 10 or 8 row cooler.

Your opinion is highly appreciated.

For me, I really prefer to have a thermostat but will see what Syed's opinion. For me, I'm not going with a big sizing oil cooler a 8-10 row is enough since our car is not that big in power or CC to begin with. If I can get to know the original oil pressure than can know what hose sizes to use to retain the similar pressure.

yeap agree. will need to dig back the service manual to get the avg oil pressure spec, then like you said, experiment with the hose sizes.

Review from dares,
I felt the opposite when I installed the bars on my FLX (well except the wallet part). I believe after installing the FSB and RSB, going thru bumps was actually MORE comfortable. Comfortable may not be the right word....the feeling is that you don't feel the rear end bouncing and twisting over the bump, instead it moves as one solid body. The nett effect is that the passengers don't get thrown left and right when going over bumps.

Or maybe the FLX chassis+suspension was not very comfortable like the BLM to begin with unsure.gif

Anyway for all new and old Gaga owners, if you haven't still, I'd consider strut bars to be one of the most essential mod for your car.

Late di, still typing this short review on the 3Max front & rear strut bars installed on my car this morning at Mahihi's place. yawn.gif

Great item! I second dares review that my car moves more solid'ly' over bumps and corners. I took a day trip up to Shah Alam, Klang, head to Mid Valley and lastly Petaling Jaya for makan makan and jalan jalan, pretty much cover 400kms of different types of road. Bumps and corners - high and low speed pretty much absorbed nicely with my stock FLX suspension and 15 inch tyres. Even my passenger for the day complimented on how solid the car moves over the first few bumps outside his workshop. brows.gif

I sort of regretted and wished I could have installed it sooner. laugh.gif

Thanks for the good stuff! And to r3apers,dares,V12Kompressor who helped me & Mahihi with the installation, TQ too, you all are the funny buggers. flex.gif
