Hi y'all..

just wanna share this info, Just went browsing at xl-shop in times square today and found this baby:

xl-shop price is RM 75

I know this kit is kinda old, but it's soooo rare to find one of these in malaysia, hell, i even bought mine from japan. For those who crave for the cooooolness of owning a dendrobium at the fraction of the cost of the monstrous HGUC version, go grab this one fast!

yup.. ure right there, its just supposed to be around 1500 yen and thats about RM45 only. but if ure a die hard dendrobium fan, RM75 wont hurt that much..

...unless untill your 5th bulk sale for gundams are opened tongue.gif

not sure if we saw those around...
anyway I have a question on Strike Rogue + IWSP...is there a spot on the model to put the 1/144 normal stand? The black standard stand I mean...if yes, I might get another model just for the fun of it biggrin.gif
*
Unfortunately... the HG msv strike rouge 1/144 kit doesnt have the stand connector under its groin.. from my experience with HG SEED, only seed models starting from number 30 (dom trooper, gouf ignited, IJ, gaia, SF, Legend, Destiny, Murasame, Akatsuki, and the Stargazer line) and above only have the ability to connect to the black stand.... Unless u do ure own modding tongue.gif

But all in all, the strike rouge + IWSP is still a handsome catch, especially when u have the original HG strike gundam to use the IWSP... thumbup.gif (just hate the pink sweat.gif)

means I have to get the special stand ady...
I don't like HG Strike Gundam...quality too low. MG or at least 1/100 better biggrin.gif
but I just took a good look at the Strike Rogue + IWSP, and I'm thinking of getting it out of boredom tongue.gif
*
But isnt the HG strike rouge and HG strike the same build? only different color scheme (typical of bandai). In terms of quality, MG is a sure win.. but still im an HG guy laugh.gif

Anyways the IWSP kit is great, but you still gotta do quite a lot of coloring on the shield tho..

One thing, can u guys point out where can i get the Mr. Hobby Topcoat sprays? and also can anyone give me the price? really need one fast!

Yep.. indeed..

But hopefully it'll reach malaysia coz its a 'limited edition' and hopefully it wont reach as high as RM300++ coz yen pricing is at 8500 (i.e RM265) and sellers here in malaysia tend to mark up 'special edition' merchandise... mad.gif

Ah, the 1/550 scale HG Mechanics series; it brings me back. Sad that the series simply stopped after showcasing 3 MA type units only. It'll be real nice for Bandai to continue making more MA-class models from both UC and AU timelines for collectors' sake; the scale of 1/550 is also perfect to match my number of MA models that was from the First Gundam PlaMo (the 1980 collection). I can put my ValVaro beside my Big Zam model; same scale all.  wink.gif

*
Ahh.. well said brother.. I'm still lovin my HGM Neue Ziel and Dendrobium.. Even for such scale the HGM 1/550 line's detail is quite good and the size is also just nice to put on ure desk in the office to woo people rclxms.gif Wonder why Bandai pulled the plug on this one.. unsure.gif

the GFF Dendrobium looks very much smaller than the normal Dendrobium...why? unsure.gif
*
The GFF GP03 (march 07) cant wait drool.gif

actually its a design first seen in a spin-off of a limited book/magazine called Anaheim Journal. the mag describes the developement of a majority of Anaheim MS and this prototype/test type dendrobium is introduced in it. Maybe it looks smaller coz of the fact its a test-type and also anaheim tends to color their MS orange to signify test-types (remember the MG ZetaPlus A-1 and Powered GM?) here's a scan of one of the pages:

Wow.. the unicorn head/face reminds me of the SRW-OG R-Gun mecha (also designed by Katoki)... count me in!! its about time a new series of gundam came out... not much of a seed fan tho... sad.gif

Hi-Nu news is a welcoming one, although I am not a big fan of the design... Prefer Nu... But the Harrison Madin F91 is really sweet... I thought it might be cheesy light blue, but it seems similar to the Titans colours... But still, white V fins??? A bit turn off... maybe custom paint it tongue.gif
http://www.gundambase.com/community/news_v...=1&news_idx=458

Wowwie.. u can bulid 2 versions? the Capt. Harrison's suit color scheme (white arm and legs) and the mass produced (full blue) scheme? or Gundam Base is just showing off their mod? still prefer the Titan-ish all blue color scheme imho...

user posted image

ahh.. Hi-Nu.. for me i like the Hi-Nu design better coz of its twin Fin-Funnels on its back-pack, and the body proportions are a bit bulky and not tinggi n kurus n lanky like the Nu.. and im just crazy for those long booster tanks on its back.. drool.gif just cant wait for Yutaka Izubuchi's MG rendition of it...

That is a conversion kit.

What can be more striking news than having a MG Hi-Nu gundam. It was always one of my favorite MS back in the SRW games. Sure getting it!!!

If there is a Hi-Nu will there be a MG nightingale? If there is i think it will burn a big big hole in most UC gundam Fans pocket.

*
Indeed a conversion kit.. but im hoping the MG will feature such design flair as this conversion kit.. icon_idea.gif An MG Nightingale? haha... will surely cost more than the HGUC Dendrobium or a PG kit imho.. and the box is gonna be 3X the sazabi box! crazy stuff.... but still a dream heheh.

The MG line is starting to evolve.. first we get F91, then XBone, Now Hi-Nu.. an A.O.Z MG would be freaking nice.. hoping for Bandai to revive the Sentinel line oso.. cant wait to see a Gundam MK-V as an MG... a Xeku Zwei maybe... in the end we are just left at the mercy of Bandai... sweat.gif

QUOTE(heretic6 @ Nov 22 2006, 11:09 PM)
yeah can't wait for the Destiny. and hopefully MG versions of the Strike Noir drool.gif
*
I think an MG Destiny or even an MG IJ is soo impossible when considering Bandai's MG line and the fact that Seed already has a huge and productive HG line.. but if Strike Noir.. maybe got hope considering the release of the IWSP and the Noir has the same frame as the standard Strike... easy for bandai... but still time will tell... icon_rolleyes.gif

To clarify things...Got it from another forum, scans from the latest Dengeki Hobby I presume:

MG F97 Gundam Crossbone Kai Full-Cross first look

user posted image

Its supposedly the same design from the recent GFF Crossbone design with the solid anti beam coat/shield, the peacock smasher, and that heavy beam sword. also in the pics u can see a different head design, where the cross from the V-fins are extended to form a 'full-cross' on its face, hence the full-cross moniker i presume..

Haha.. good thing i held back from buying the recent Crossbone, I knew Bandai would pull a double version of its latest MG's, just like the Harisson Madin F91 custom... Bandai is soo evil... sweat.gif

HG stargazer is out! Selling at the XL-shop for RM69.90! And also the SRW series SRX is out too....

This time the dalong.net did not have a Stargazer review yet....Was looking forward to see the review before i purchases it.

Are those shinny thing on the Stargazer removable? i am sure there are not sticker only.
http://www.geocities.jp/hetare_d_max/galle..._StarGazer.html
*
The Dalong.net guy doesnt give seed kits much attention. Look at his Seed section, newer seed kits just have straight builds and then nothing.. Furthermore, he's giving a lot of attention to his new Kotobukiya section. maybe thats why he didnt bother to buy a stargazer kit? icon_idea.gif or maybe he's waiting for the Kerberos BuCue and build them both? who knows..

About the shiny thingies on the stargazer, its confirmed stickers, this guy maybe bought 2 kits and built one for each config. see this:

Got this while browsing in another gundam forum..

(Wes) Murphy's Laws of GunPla Modelling:

* There is no such thing as two perfectly fitting parts.
* Dropped parts will always land freshly-painted side down.
* You only need to sneeze or scratch an itch the very moment you're using tweezers to mount joints on your Master Grade.
* Add-on detail parts for your mobile suit will always cost 3-5 times more than the original kit.
* Gunze Sangyo's "Easy to Use" Gundam Markers...aren't.
* Gunze Sangyo's "Professional Quality" Gundam Paints...aren't.
* White is the hardest color to paint properly on a model kit. And Gundams just happen to come in a thousand subtly different shades of white.
* Despite the box labels, GunPla are NEVER to scale.
* The only insect in your entire house ALWAYS decides to park right on top of your kit just as the paint dries.
* Law of Inverse Multiplicity (circa 1990 and later): The more numerous a mobile suit is in a Gundam series, the fewer models of it will be made.
* Corollary #1: And more often than not, kits of mass-production MS are more expensive than those of the Gundams.
* Corollary #2: Conversely, the rarer a mobile suit is in a Gundam series, the more models of it are produced. 90% of all Gundam models ever made are of the Gundams themselves.
* Corollary #3: And at least half again of those produced are color variations of the same model.
* Corollary #4 (AKA The Law of Inverse Demand): The more longtime Gunpla fans want a particular mass-production or special-use mobile suit made into a model, the less chances there are of it ever being produced.
* Law of Inverse Craptacularity: The uglier a mobile suit model kit is, the better it will look after kitbashing.
* the Weapon "shooting" hands will have trouble fitting around the weapon grips the model is supposed to be "shooting".
* The Gundam color palette has more pastel shades than a drawing room in the Versailles palace. But they don't have flat black....
* According to the Gunze Sangyo palette, "Char red" means "salmon pink" and "Char pink" means "Easter parade purple".
*An MS with a large weapons assortment will never have all its weapons in 1 kit. You will have to buy at least 2 kits to get all of them.
* The wimpy background equipment models like fighters, transport trucks, tanks, and the like cost twice as much as the typical MS kit. They will not be snap-together, either (i.e EX models).
* When cutting PVC joints off their rack, at least 3 will launch in a random direction and end up under a table or the nearest other piece of large furniture.*-The incidence for jumping PVC parts increases by 50% if the floor is colored grey or fitted with shag carpet.
* Law of Purchased Product Improvement: Bandai only releases new and improved versions of their GunPla kits right after you've bought the old one.

it was fun for me to read, just hoping to share it with all of ya... oh the ardous pains of Gunpla modelling sweat.gif !
