Speaking of air brushes, been looking at getting one lately, and would like to ask for advice in regards to the air bits. Is it more worthwhile to get the compressor or just get an air tank that can be refilled?
*
Of course compressor
air tank pressure will drop when the air inside is getting lesser
then you'll facing problem when you are spraying the paint on your model

A cheaper way to get compress air is to buy gas tank for cooking! But u may have to do it in open ground

The concept of the Cooking gas is same as a Air Tank! The gas r keep in liquid form and the preasure of the tank is higher than outside, it also has the hose that can be used on Airbrush. So it is appliable!!!

However it has a high risk doing so becoz u may "poison" urself or even end up with an explossion! Conclusion is it can serve as a air tank for ur airbrushing but it is darn dangerous!!! Airbrush at your own risk!

I got my gold leaf tamiya paint at the KL branch near the petaling street!!! I prefer the Titanium Gold color, looks more shiny. Overall the tamiya metallic color are better than those from Mr Hobby, the Mr Hobby Gold color just look like poo.

Well, thanks anyways, but can you be a little bit more spesific on the location?thanks. Btw, i've seen the gold on a model that use Mr hobby gold colour WITH a coat of clear yellow and it turned out FABULOUS! i'll search for that pic when i am free.

Obviously normal, FB version does not look that good. And the gold decals weirded me out.

And I've heard of the DRAGOON 'wires' required to be dipped in hot water, and then bend. Is that true?

IMO, the normal MG Strike Freedom is good enough. I bought the full burst kit but i suppose the extras aren't worth the additional bucks. For the extras all you get are

1. Gold joints for the expose portions of the inner frame

2. Additional stand + dragoon posing parts

3. Additional decals

4. Poster

5. Larger box.

no surprise there...after all....they're plastic.

@cKm83: does the normal MG SF have those "effect" parts that come out of the back of the Dragoon?

If RM 300 is whole airbrush set (airbrush pen + compressor)
then it's not a good one or just entry level
it might not last long

If RM 300 is just the airbrush pen
then that pen is a decent one
a decent airbrush set will cost you more than RM 700

like what we always post here..please please do check at least 4 or 5 pages back for you answer of your question before ask next time..we answer this kind of question thousand times already

for mr hobby color..get it from either xl shop or tme machine..and before you ask where they are again, then both at berjaya time square. xl at 4th floor and time machine at 7th floor. then for tamiya colors..best bet is to get from either 1utama tamiya shop or at tamiya petaling street. the petaling street one easy to find..go there and find it..its hard to tell where and where izzit.

and also it iz true that by using mr hobby gold(no.9) then spray a layer of clear yellow..the gold will look nicer rather than look like a poo..

mr hobby line got clear yellow, clear blue, clear green, clear red and clear orange

My whole set of Airbrush set cost me about RM1400!!! That was a good one it has built in Airtank + moisture trap, it has auto cut in and cut out (cut in when lower then 4 bar Preassure and Cut out at 6 bar)! Can operate full day without having to rest (thx to the cut in cut out control)! Cost around 1k not including the AB!

Got it from Multiffila! Nice service even when ur compressor has problem. Get fix within 1 week from my previous exp!

Today i went there again and the uncle there explain wat happen to my compressor! Seem like i have been using my compressor wrongly and end up having my compressor oil all lost and end up burning my compressor!!! He gave me 2 choices, 1 is replace the inner part with a 2nd hand unit one(FOC but no warranty), or change a new part (RM150).
